welllllll.... i thought i didna really like delays. then i spent some time on the TL. and now i don't want a board without delay.
it's AMAZING how good it sounds, the variety of stuff it packs in there. but the interface is kinda shit. i dig the small footprint, but they had to make some annoying compromises.
even with that, i fucking LOVE that thing.

I have the feeling I would use it enough, but I also love simplicity in a delay sometimes. Arrrrgh. It looks like it does everything the DL4 does, plus a ton more. The looper integration has me really tempted. I hate only being able to use the DL4 as either a looper or delay, not switch easily between them.
kinda blows. you have to step on 2 buttons to back up or 2 other buttons to bank down. each bank has two spots. it's not the WORST, but you have to be careful. the DMC will let you step through each patch with a click, but it leaves them all on.
normal way is doable, but fuddly. and easy to go to the wrong page on accident.

Had one, honeymooned. Looper couldn't take how hot my signal was, nor could it layer very well for what I do. I had fun looping with a not so hot signal, but not with fuzz at all. Bought a DMC-4 but flipped the Timeline before it even came because I just couldn't use it. Yeah, it had a lot of delay settings. But I found myself attached to 2 out of 10 or however many without actually switching to anything but the looper.
The delays were good, you could control the fuck out of them. I was inspired for a bit, but then trying to navigate things like Behndy said got in the way. If it were more user friendly it would have probably been a keeper. But having to buy another $200 controller ontop of the already $450 delay is just a little stupid

all that's true. i have to set mine where each page has the one or two toanz i use per song and make sure i go to that page before each song starts.
i have my DMC-3, not sure if i want to reprogram it to run the looper on my M9 or sell it. INDECISIVE.
but i've learned to get around the TL pretty well. loooove. that. THING.
