got my package from PetZounds!
HOLY SHIT
this is the craziest package ever. I literally have no idea what's happening with like... half of it

coffee, awesome, going to drink it today! THE BEST T-SHIRT EVER, new music to listen to (never heard Xiu Xiu before), never read any Vonnegut, so that's also sweet

I literally have no idea what's up with the second book

And I got a handwritten poem titled "Bad Vibes In the Zebra Zone", which is really awesome too

also the wrapping paper full of abstract thoughts on masturbation, god and cubes... plus a tiny mix-ipod. How bourgeois is that
now the pedals... the sand making machine really cracks me up. It's sort of a drone/noise box. There's a volume knob and the other two knobs actually control two mini-motors inside the pedal... as the voltage changes by setting the knobs, the motors start to work, changing their speeds... and that's being captured by a contact mic

it's really primitive and really awesome, sort of temperament, but that's half the fun... plus it also reacts to tapping the enclosure as well because of the contact mic, so that's also fun... i spent some time playing it through a filter, fuzz and a CT5 and man there's a lot that can be done with it... it actually sounds almost vocal at times, like a child crying. It's totally ridiculous, i love it

The Behringer Slow Motion is pretty cool, too

always wanted to try one... Boss Slow Gear clone. Sounds awesome going into an envelope filter, gets me even closer to the Microsynth sounds I'm mimicking with ... well... four pedals now

the green pedal is a one knob fuzz (just volume). I don't know what it is, but it sounds sort of... like a buzzy almost velcro fuzz with a hint of octave?

doesn't have much low end, but it sounds fucking sick with an octaver and has that punchy attack I love... Really cool
thanks, PetZounds

this is really fucking awesome
