The Bluesky is absolutely awesome, sounds brilliant and is pretty much 2 reverbs in one so considering the price they're insanely good value.
i'm on the fence about getting a blue sky when i get the money, but i'm worried that it would sound too artificial, what do you think?
also weird question but what season/time of day would you use to describe the reverb?

I bought one when they first came out and I really didn't like it
It's still the only pedal I've ever, EVER bought and been disappointed with.
I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to pedals. I can usually find a place for anything. I guess the plate was kind of okay but that's again too artificial/too... I dunno. It just felt like there's no depth, no bottom end, some parts of the decay sounded 'wrong' and it was just too pricey at 300-350 or whatever they were going for when you take into contention it can't do any of the standard sounds (that I like) without sounding like a cheap plugin. The RV2 had nicer reverb sounds, the RV3 was way more flexible and again even in that mode 11 or whatever was loads more interesting to play through than the Strymon. I even like the Digitech RV7 more than I did the Strymon... if all you want is that Shimmer sound then check out the M5/M9 series of verbs which I think sound much better than the Strymon stuff for quick recordings and performing with it be it home or gigging. The Strymon wasn't that bad while gigging but MAN did it sound awful at home when there was no mix to contend with. Kinda like biting into ice after eating a nice warm apple pie or something! I didn't mind the El Capistan and the Compressor from Strymon but pretty much all their other pedals were a big, big disappointment.
I'm one of those folk who attribute anything music-related (gear/music itself/even venues) to weather and time! The problem with the Blue Sky IMO is that it doesn't really have a significant personality of it's own. The Strymon Flint did the shimmery thing quite well actually and I'd be more inclined at the time to use my Blue Sky the same way as I did on my Mini Revebreator (on plate mode) and I'd set the Mini Reverbator on Hall even though I preferred the sound of the plate. So when I eventually got sick of it I started to use my P1 mode on the Mini Reverb again and used the halls from my Line6

Am I the only one who thinks the Strymon pedals arent that nice looking? Not saying I don't want any, just saying I don't really like the looks of them.

Does that Cleanness really look like that? Or is it just an artifact of the flash?

One of my band is having a reunion show, and this is what I whipped up. Feels good to have a full board again.
