Across? or end to end? I want to know how much room I have for expansion. :erm:

Also, hope your back is feeling better man.

Got to see Druden and meet Parker tonight. The band Kicked all kinds of ass and were very cool people to talk with. I had every intention of getting some pics for you all but I kinda got into their set and forgot about pictures. Guitar tones were fucking awesome and I really dug how they'd take it from slow and doomy to full out speed riffage. My neck will be sore tomorrow, good shit.
I wanted to stick around for the whole evening but between fatigue and my sore ass excuse for a leg I ended up leaving early. Glad I made it up there for them though. very worth it!

yep, this is also true. gotta be able to jump it if it would be hypothetically standing up as tall as it possibly could, if i remember correctly.
Oh shit, I'm fucked.

Time to start working on my bass board! :!!!:

Well, I'm certainly not gonna enter the Olympic board jumping event. I'm down to 4 now, sold the puss the other day.
I hope you aren't gonna start building some dumble tones into your amps, Nick. You could build a dumble-wizard hybrid, call it the Dumbledore.

Stop me if you've heard that one before....

I gotta say though, I dig the patch cables (yeah I know, on top of all the BAT meets blood awesomeness). They were a kit, I'm guessing? You guys probably already had this conversation, but I probably missed it.

Sleep tonight! Woooooo!

Hoping for some Druid, Aquarian, hopefully some Antarcticans Thawed, and excerpts from Dopesmoker. Not holding my breath for any shitoff the first album or a complete run through Dopesmoker, but that would make my fucking year.

And holy shit, Sydney, you're an expensive town. But at least you do shit properly. Unlike home.

You should be pretty satisfied, assuming the setlist is similar to what they were playing a couple years ago.

Are you talking Vol. 1 or the AsBesDeth stuff as the first record? 'Cause there's a handful of Vol. 1 songs that you really need two guitars for.

Some of you probably saw that on faceplace but damn it makes me feel all big and like I'm on the right path so there it is again.
Looks like you are keeping some damn good company.

Super excited to hear what its really got but I loaned my 2x12 to a friend when he blew the speakers on his right at the start of their little tour so it'll be a bit longer. :mope:
Let me know if you ever decide to sell it.

In other news, looks like EQD is going to do a new version of the Zap Machine. Their book of faces showed me a pic and looks like it will have two foot switches. I am excite.

Hay guys!

Got a new project that's coming along really well. Just me and a guitarist right now, but were itching for a drummer now. Got a few riffs and a couple of songs mapped out.

Butfuckme its great to be playing some sludgy doom again.

I don't have quite as awesome of a rig as some of you guys though haha! But ti serves me nicely. MM Stingray>Geminidrive>Whammy>Rat King>Pickle Pie B>DD-20>Volume Pedal>Tuner. All going through a GK 700 RB-II pared with an Ampeg PRO-410HLF. Loud as fuck if needed and ballsy to boot. Almost too bassy though.

Do any of you use a real modern sounding cab at all? Smooth deep bass and crisp highs, but I'm having to do quite a bit of fancy eq work to not have it be to boomy.
awesome signature with witty quotes from all you fuckers :)

Vol. 1, but you're right, I forgot there were two guits floating around then.

Sweet!

Can't say that I do. Boomy can be cured sometimes by either tightening up the woodwork in the cab itself or if that is fine, adding some insulation can give it a tighter sound. 10's tend to have a very tight sound to me, makes me wonder if there is an issue with the cab, You can take a clamp and tighten down the individual panels without opening it up. . Barring possession of large enough clamps I'd start with making sure all the screws are tight and that the wood they are bearing into is not stripped. If the are some CA glue and toothpicks will provide new material for them to bite into.

Iommi I saw Sleep last night and they were INCREDIBLE. Played over their allotted time (they were headliner in that venue so who cares) and the staff were trying to get them to stop, Al just stared one of them down. It was ridiculous. One of the best, most effortlessly heavy bands I've ever had the pleasure of watching.

I've heard that Al can be a real contentious guy when it comes to venue related stuff like monitors/set times/etc.

The first time Om played in Boston the sound dudes had to physically eject them from the stage, bros coming up on stage and turning off amps and such.

I've used modern sounding cabinets in the past, but vintage models can be boomy too. It depends on the amp. It could be your amp that's booming too much for you. I know the modern Orange amps I've tried were way too boomy.

Did a DI recording using the Bigsky the other day. Trying out the built in cab sim on it.

Signal Chain is thus: Gibson LP Custom, Tuner, POG2, Coven, Mobius, Dual Moogs in stereo, Bigsky, Recording Interface.
