Bandcamp is now blocked at my work. So I can't listen to the new Whores. but I'm listening to Ruiner on Spotify and this is badass. Getting an Unsane vibe from this, which is great because I fucking love Unsane.

I am right with you. We played with them back in like 2009 ish It was right before Mass IIII came out. I had never heard of them. I say it too much, the cult of Ra is a real thing and seeing them live is as close to a religious experience as I get.
I was a little blah on Mass V at first, but it has grown on on me so much in the past few weeks. I listen to it almost constantly. Some friends of mine and I started doing a second band (for me) and there is a ton of nods to Amenra because we are all obsessed.

I haven't picked up a copy of Mass V yet. I got Mass IV from a friend on mp3 disk though and listen to it in my truck. I hope I can see them one day. I saw somewhere last year that they were playing a show with the Secret in Europe somewhere. That would be an awesome show since they are two of my favorite bands.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
hola amigos! Holy fuck have I been sick. I caught it while we on tour (about the time we were in Los Angeles) and I still haven't shaken it all the way. It's been over two weeks. I was just getting good and then we had a show in Tacoma (with Infinite Flux who are the BEST) and my wild partying ways got the germs all kicked up again. FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU
ANyways though, the tour was a blast. Which starkly contrasts with our previous tour which was pure stress. A short list of awesome stuff:
-High quality tacos and burritos of California
-The wildass skater crew of Encinitas
-BRETT
-Getting tattooed by my ooold buddy Judo Kris
-Playing Peter's place in SLO
-San Francisco in general
-Staying with my gf from 20 years ago's little sister (who is like my little sister so get funny ideas you dicks)
-Ovvl ending practice early and driving across town to catch our SF set
-Having Magic jump in the van and roadie
-Meeting the awesome Dutch lady Desiree that owns our label
-Partying with Magic and Desiree at Jack DeVille's house after the Portland show (this was crazy drunkenness and he has a million photos)
-Women in Arcata
-Selling all of the 100 copies of our record allotted us by our label in 11 days
-Having brought the best weed everywhere we went, SEATTLE RULES
Then that feller Magic stayed at my house for about a week and a half. He helped me get going on PCB design in Eagle and showed me some guitar stuff to help broaden my narrowass 'style'. I am eternally grateful for both of those things. Magic is a true stallion and now I will post his theme song made by his friends The Shrine:

That song is based on a true story.
I guess I haven't been up to much that's music related since arriving home. I have no idea why I went because I was brutally fucking sick but the night after we got back home I went with Magic and Des to the Uzala show. They were the opening band and they crushed the whole fucking thing. Have a look at their new cabs!
Oh yeah, I also have a picture of Brett with his ballerass custom Dunwich Iron Pile 200
Okay the last picture is what I saw when I walked into Tommy's Guitars which is the only D*A*M dealer in the USA
Some of you probably saw that on faceplace but damn it makes me feel all big and like I'm on the right path so there it is again.
Also, here are three disturbing links for your perusal. Nothing to do with GMO crops I assure you!

All this Whores talk is cool. I haven't seen them live but that first record sure was powerful. As is Baby Bird. I can't wait to get my hands on the new one!

I'd like to one day to use it as an ingredient in all sorts of interesting dishes...Ancient Astronaught wrote:I know!!! I am excite! As kinda F'd up as it sounds I can't wait for the first time I can sit down with my kids and legally pass them the bong and jam out for a couple hours. It shall be a glorious day. Followed my a long set of rules on how it is to be handled in my house and in their everyday lives.
OK, mainly brownies, but yoghurts, hot chocolates and teas also.
I'm probably the most gullible person I know. I think everyone is a good, honest person at heart and has simply lost their way for a little while.Ancient Astronaught wrote:If they can remove tens of thousands of anti-Obama posts on Facebook on a daily basis (I've seen it happen live in front of me) they can easily block or remove scientific studies that could harm the reputation of the biggest agriculture business in America ( whose past executives currently make up the entire top officials of the FDA and even include a Supreme Court judge) who happens to be a huge HUGE donator to the Democratic Party.
Also it's not that low yield crops can't feed the world it's that they require larger investments. Companies would rather spends thousands on untested HMO food that can be grown anywhere instead of investing millions into large scale green houses. Also because they would then have to either raise the cost at the consumer levels or decrease their profit, which is the antithesis of business so therefore highly unlikely to happen. I'm all about the research but Monsanto... Ugh
Yeah, that's what we pay. For a 6-pack (bottled) of decent-good beer it's between $15-20 CAD (it will change depending on the currency conversion from EUR to CAD). Shitty beer is around $10-14Nostradoomus wrote:12$ a pack? Sounds like Canada.
Also 12$ for a 6 pack of shitty beer. Seriously I almost burst into tears when I went to a Safeway in Portland and saw how cheap shit was.
Yeah, I sadly discovered that shortly after posting my comment.pelliott wrote:Sadly, they do not even distribute outside of Vermont because they can't even keep up with demand in about a 30 mile radius of the brewery. Darren, great to see the tour went well, and congrats on having the Ape Blaster sit besides greats like D*A*M and Cattybread.

For me, it was jawdropping walking in there and seeing it all arranged like that.
Also the word "don't" was supposed to appear at a specific point in my previous post. I'll let you all decide where.

HEX CABS FOR THE WIN. I love Gentry's work. Dude was solid as shit when I bought mine.

From 7:20 On out is the heaviest thing I have ever experienced live. I'd damn near Kill to get to see Caro (that is the lead singer from oathbreaker) do that last bit. you can't beat 4 guitarists and 2 bassists for bringing the heavies.

Not sure. The thing about old Peavey gear is that it's completely bombproof.MeSoFuzzy wrote:I'm tempted to hit this, but I need to pay some shit off before spending mo money. Are newer Peavey cabs just as good as the older ones? http://smd.craigslist.org/ele/3998617070.html
