To those who have received your amps, how long was the turnaround time (from paying to shipping)? Alex should be sending me the invoice for my Decolonizer today!

Matt, check the wait time on their Science site. That should be fairly accurate. I can't comment because I was at the front of the queue and my build started around the time he started building production models. But Alex is generally good at working through the queue at the rate he says, and he is good at communicating about it. If you're wondering, I'd email him directly and ask.

Edit: Ah right, if he's sending you the invoice, then that means this applies: " After that, your amp will ship in about 4 weeks." -- Like I said, he's good at working through the builds at the rate he says. You can ask him, to be sure.

Yeah, he told me 4 weeks. But he also said that for my Sister. I was curious if the MkII's construction went faster.

Street Sweeper has arrived!! It is absolutely everything it is advertised as. The cab builder is a little behind so my beautiful, matching 2x12 with the new Celestions Redbacks will be shipping shortly.

As everyone has already mentioned over and over in this thread, Alex is a fucking champion of communication. Answering every nitpicky question, change in the stain color, etc... Timeline was exactly as described.

Wonderful experience overall. Highly recommended.

My amp was set to ship Saturday but didn't get processed and gone till Monday. I placed my order July 8th, so he was only 3 days off of his estimated shipping time.

I’m really curious about the Decolonizer vs a 2 Channel Dual Rec or 5150 or something. I’m down to just a GK 800rb and a V4 and a multi channel, high gain head sounds really useful for the band I play guitar in.

I have a 2 channel Tremoverb and initial impressions of the Decolonizer is that it's more aggressive and more cutting than my Recto. It's also tighter, I'm not getting a lot of loose low end.

I have a decolonizer v1 and I think it blows a 5150 outta the water. I had a 5150 and a v4 for a long time and while I really liked both amps, once I got the science I sold them. Like the dude above me said it's more aggressive and the low end holds up much better at loud volumes where as the 5150 would get kinda shrill or thin sounding imo. As far as a dual rec, I have never personally played one but I played in a band with another guitarist who had one and he he quickly sold it and bought a decolonizer after a few practices together.

That’s what it seemed like from the clips. That said I think I want a Hellhawk more actually... I really miss having something Marshally after using a plexi and a Butcher for a while.
