Lain will always be relevant. Honestly it'll be even more relevant as the future goes on. Timeless shit man.

Yeah, Jin-Roh is cool as well.
So, I finished Utena last night. There were some really cool elements to it, some striking imagery, but... motherfucking repetition. It really dragged on in some parts. Ending was nice, though.
Going to watch Arakawa Under the Bridge next. Oh, and new Durarara! episode tonight!

I need to watch Jin-Roh Wolf Brigade. Have it downloaded and everything but never got to it.
I caught up on Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi manga as well and I remember why I don't catch up on manga. Now I have to wait until April for Volume 8

(I only have like 20 other volumes of manga to read laying around the house

)

which chapter are you up to? i've only been keeping up to date with the translated chapters on mangafox so i'm at 35, which is the end of volume 6 i think? i dunno. it's really fucking good though. no idea where they'll end the anime since 12 episodes surely wouldn't get too far.
i wish there was more full color manga. i started reading Kuro by Somato recently which is so pretty and calming and eerie but the chapters are only a page long, haha. probably an unreasonable expectation, i guess.

I think Manwha (or however you spell it?) are full color, I never got into any of those though. If I had to guess about the anime, maybe they'll end it before getting into the whole Aya part of the story? I don't know but I'm curious where it will cut off as well.
Volume 7 ends at chapter 40. Yea, Chapter 35 is the end of Volume 6.

Wait, it hasn't been released yet? Didn't it come out like three years ago? Seems like a long time since I saw it.
Still waiting for 4 (or 3.0 + 1.0 or 4.44 or whatever).

Yeah, it came out in like 2012/13. Funimation must've had to deal with some shitty behind the scenes stuff.
Anno is working on some Godzilla film now, so who knows when 4.0 is actually done - let alone be in a watchable state.

I still haven't bothered watching any of the rebuilds. It sounds like a total shit show and I was very happy with the original end and end of evangelion.

They great and really, really play on your expectations - they're just a little slow.

Just think of them as moving artbooks, ignore the plot. 8D

I dunno man, the original series still exists even if you watch the rebuilds. They're their own thing. I don't enjoy them as much as the original, but they are good in their own way. Yeah.
Oh, and Arakawa Under the Bridge is awesome. Just the kind of series I needed. No high schools or chosen ones, just enjoyable insanity and characters with varying depth.

I actually really liked Arise as well as the recent GiTS movie. Felt a lot closer to the original movies than Stand Alone Complex did, which was cool. I think that I like the original film a bit more than SAC, though I don't know if that is the cool thing to think or noy.
