Yeah its a pretty nice addition to the circuit. Here is another quick listen to how the delay sounds with those cbmods delay/flanger as source...Still havn't figured out how to synch the audio/video perfectly yet  im sure there is an easy trick i'll figure out

Imma watch it tomorrow, but to synch I just start recording my video, then hit record on my computer. Then I engage the pedal. That usually makes a small sound, so I use that to match that sound with the video of me engaging the pedal later. There's probably a way to make it a lot easier, but I freaking use windows movie maker, so who cares?

There is the clap marker too. Just clap at the beginning and sync the clap..at least that is the technique I read about. I think that is why they use that clapper board on movies too...

I tried it and it was easier said than done

But you won't hear any clapping without a mike. He's going straight into his focusrite from the pedlols. :poke:

The click of the bypass switch can work as a clapper board in such cases. It's easy to see the moment of the click, and it makes a sharp little sound. :)*

Nice clip, UG!

thanks for the tips. i'll try using a clap when I mic an amp. other problem is the gopro software doesn't seem to really offer precise control over the increments in time i can move the audio track...maybe there is a way to get a better scale to synch the two but I havn't found it yet. guess its close enough haha, im not going to pay any money so i've got to work with what ive got. think i need to start recording both audio/video and let some more time go by before i start actually playing to give me more room to edit/move stuff around. dunno, going to go set up the laptop/tv downstairs now and see how micing an amp turns out.

i still don't have youtube on my old ipad :(

That was the problem I was having with the gopro thing...What I ended up doing was splitting the clip a hundred times in the first step and then put it together in step two after converting.

If you have a mac you could try syncing the audio first with the big file in iMovie (which is what I am still using, even though it is slow and kinda lame) or the same idea in Windows Media thing (if that is your flavor...have heard better things that way). Then export it to .mov and then put it into the gopro thing for splicing (I think the editing is actually better and faster than in iMovie...but I don't really know).

Seems like a PITA either way though...and too many cords. If I ever really wanted to get serious about this, I think it would have to be live recording into the computer? I have no idea? I know some cams have a/v inputs too, but, yet again, more money.

It turned out great though, UG...much better than my attempts at trying to sync! I think it really does sound good...

nah, just pc. got an old ipad i could use but it has developed some problem where it "shuts down" when ever the page i'm on has alot of stuff to load. something like lurking/posting on ilf is fine but say, facebook where its loading a huge page makes it shut down...hate to get it all set up to record etc. or deep into editing and have it just NOPE on me. my laptop pc has a busted screen so i have to hook it up to a tv to be able to use it, just got that hooked up and downloading all the software etc. just doing these demos for fun so i'm not looking to put any money or real effort into it. buddys letting me keep his gopro to use, but it doesn't have a lcd screen so i can't see what i'm filming and blah blah etc. we thought i could use my iphone to monitor/control the gopro but my iphone has older operating system so thats not going to work.

very interested in exploring recording into a DAW, still need to get things hooked up with my monitors etc. so far only been able to listen over little computer spkrs but I'm working on getting things wired up in the home studio today.

That was great! You're on a roll LG :thumb: Reminds me that the LAL thread needs some demos too :poke:

Well I'm starting to think gopro studio is just shit. Can't get it to even open on my PC today and its acting goofy as all get out on my laptop :grumpy: Looks like Windows Movie Maker it is then....though it looks like it might have even less control over editing the audio track to synch :idk:
