So far I've cut my diet down calorie wise, I've been doing a morning and evening workout routine (this will get more serious; baby steps for now), and I've got a journal that I have been writing everything down in. What I eat, how many calories, what I did in my routine, what hurts and what doesn't so I can keep track and start upping sets. More intensive cardio days ahead, just working on basic strength right now.
baby steps are the key words here

do good, keep at it and
if you end up dropping it for a few days just pick it up again. check out page one for some workout info
be sure to ask if there's anything!
I think this is the best advice I could hear. Very important.

After cutting back on beer over the last year and losing about 10 pounds I've been getting back into running more consistently. Having been a sprinter in high school anything over half a lap used to be pretty awful to me. I've managed to haul my ass onto the treadmill more recently, and started doing 3-4 mile runs. Now that I'm actually in good cardio conditioning I've decided to go against my better judgment and train for Nashville's half marathon in April. Just ran 6 miles and felt pretty good. Once my pace improves I'm gonna be in pretty great shape.
Running to crust punk and doom metal is really great because I know someone else is as pissed as I am to be there.

HEY GUYS! I havent been around much because I am ashamed to say.....since late Oct ive been going to the gym maybe once a week.....maybe.
Well I decided to hit it hard again going 4 times a week doing Antons DoomRoom Workout. I broke a plateau last night on the deadlift. My previous 1 RM was 275#. I rep'd it 2X and was feeling good so I put it at 285# and rep'd it 2x. Shit was fucking awesome!!! I cant wait to hit that glorious 3 plate deadlift. Im hoping by summer time.
How are ya'll mother fuckers doing?

I just started a 6 week back squat emphasis cycle, 5 days on a week, 2 rest days. Planned workouts based on maxes Tues - Friday and Sunday.
After the cycle I will go for a 500 lb deadlift max. Hopefully see a good bump in the BS max at the end of the cycle, the only BS max effort comes on the last Sunday.

Well look what the cat dragged in. Deadlift PRs are the best PRs. Three plates is a huge milestone...go get it.
I 5 rep'd 345# yesterday. First time I've been able to get five straight no rest.
Here's some motivation - 500 lbs DL max rep challenge (under 200 lbs body weight).
