hello! I'm new round these parts, some may recognize me from the muffwiggler forum but I haven't gone on there much recently because I no longer have a modular system and the b/s/t there is way too tempting. I've had a couple different incarnations of modular in the past year and a half but I sold the last system I had to fund an Eventide Space and pay off some bills (and to focus my energy on actually making music instead of just random noodles with the modular). Have about 10 yrs guitar experience (26 yrs old) but I can play bass decently and can fumble around with keys (the modular stuff I made was mostly in the bleep bloop variety). Mainly do ambient/drone work (check my sig if interested) but I've felt the distinct void of fuzz and distortion in my music so... here I am!!
Putting together my first pedal board/suitcase thingy, I'll take pics when my Hawk comes in later this week and I set everything up.
also, I like parentheses.

I look forward to seeing them! Where in Delaware are you from? I used to live in Dover (about 10 years ago, though).

Cool! I'm from Wilmington, born and raised. Are you from DE or were you here on work or something related? I've been contemplating a move out of state but it's a little daunting and I don't have many connections in places I would like to move to (anywhere west, preferably northwest).
Board is coming along nicely, just a piece of plywood but I put the velcro on last night and it's starting to feel awesome! I'm hoping the Hawk will come in today but it may not. Going up to Boston this weekend to visit friends/go to the circa survive show, but I'm hoping to have it completed by the end of the weekend with some pics not too far behind.

was here a while back and lost my profile, (my old mac crashed and i relied too much on saving passwords... not to mention my brain cells/memory are rapidly depleting as i get older... blah).
my name is carl and i'm a fuzz addict. it's been 5 minutes since i last used a fuzz.
so yeah, i'm a fuzz junkie and wanna get with the hep cats on the board here.
i wanna buy/trade some fuzziness as well as learn how to build some boxes.
i'm particularly interested in acquiring an op-amp muff type fuzz, a meathead clone type fuzz, and super heavy type fuzzes that lend themselves to doom schtuff.

Who am I?
I'm steve a dutch fuzz and verb lover. Mostly plays shoegaze/ambient and surf/spy music.
I hope I can learn to build me a superfuzz clone in the future since I have no experience.
Besides that I'm a filmstudent who is waiting for his visa to move to the states for his internship and school exchange.
That's sums it all up.

...been a member here for a while...haven't posted much. I'm a regular on TalkBass and I'm sure some folks here will recognize me.
This is a vulgar site with lots of profanity, sexual innuendos and cock references so I'll probably be hanging around here more often since I'm easily amused by these things.

Don't forget to bring along some ladies with vulgar leanings to the party.

found this site through a link to the pedalboard thread, which is one of the great things the internet has to offer. i have lurked ALOT since, but feel the urge to post now. for some reason.
i started playing bass by default, since my friends and i wanted to start a band, and my dad had a bass, so i played it. that was 20 years ago, and since then i was in some bands, did demos, played shows, blah, blah, blah. but only in the last year have i really learned to love the fuzz.
i sold a lot of my bass stuff, but i still have my faithful 74 ripper, some practice amps, a mim tele, and a smattering of pedals.
