Saw that in my FB news feed. That's fucking crazy. It's like doom thematic material in physical form.

Reading over the last 5 or 6 pages, it seems like the world just isn't a good place to live right now. I wish you guys all the best. I've been battling another bout of depression the past few weeks; what troubles me is that there's been no particular trigger. I'm on meds and I'm fairly social, but nothing has been seeming to sooth it. I've been listening to a lot of music too, but I literally just sat down with my guitar and played for the first time in almost a month. Playing doesn't seem to help much either. I haven't been "feeling" my music in quite a while. I've even been taking a credited guitar class for my senior year of uni, and although I'm learning a lot I'm still struggling to convince myself to practice.

But, like most everyone else, there has been some positivity going around. My buddy and I will finally have access to a drum kit, so hopefully we'll be able to actually write something worth while soon. That and my artwork is finally starting to take a direction. Back home I have piece that's being featured in a new gallery and it doesn't cost me anything!

Here's a few things that have been helping me get through the days:

This is probably my favorite CoL album too.

These fit my more aggressive moods.

Beautiful! It's always a good time to appreciate a work of art like that.

Man that's a bummer. I was hoping to get us on the bill for that and have a DOOM ROOM show of sorts. Keep us in mind for Tacoma if it happens. we'd love to provide local support and we've had a decent crowd of people who have been coming to our shows. Either way I'll definately be at the Seattle show. I'm listening to Wolveserpent right now and it's really hitting the spot!

Eerily beautiful! Would make a badass album cover.

My situation has gotten a bit better. I managed to get things finalized at the unit level for me getting out of army servitude. The shutdown thing is still hurting me but at least I don't have to go to work.
Tony came by tonight and we got two songs knocked out on bass, I should have more time to work on the recordings now that I am not working full time.

Darren and the AW guys have their tour kickoff show tonight, I want to head up there but am drained. kinda late already for it. I hope the tour kicks ass!
fuck it boys, I'm off to Seattle. I need some Warlocks mojo to fix my head :thumb:
Nick You are glowing!!!! Holy SHIT! Will check the demo later :hello:
:doom:

I'm at work, so just a quickie:
Skip, my condolences mate. That is terrible.
Don't mean to be glib but pressed for time.
Heart goes out to you and yours.

That mummified bird is cool as shit.

Church of Misery and Clagg tonight.
Why can't it be beer o'clock already?

Just got back from the Ancient Warlocks tour kickoff show. I STRONGLY urge all the west coast doom brethren to not miss these guys. Sound was as good as ever and its cool to hear them doing new material. I needed that. Nothing like Darren and co at massive volume to cleanse the soul.

Sent all of the tracks off for mastering yesterday to Mammoth Sound. Can't wait to hear how much better he makes us sound.

So I'll be coming down to Portland again at some point in October. Wish some of those shows were weekenders! Might be able to do the Olympia AW show, crash somewhere and head to Portland the next day. My friend and I have birthdays a month apart starting with my birthday (tomorrow, if anybody wants to buy me something and have it next day'd  ) so we're going down for some cheap beer and fun.

Those pics remind me of the Bodies Exhibit. If you guys ever have it come through your town I highly recommend checking it out.
