- play a big orange triangle pick
- prevent vitamin B deficiency thanks to vegemite
- own the best Xmas creepy record sleeve card with a massive amount of kindness and both blasphemy and corksniffer mockery
- eat chocolate with my furry friends
- fuzz the shit out of stuff thanks to an amazing Infanem 141G that I really wanted but couldn't justify because too much fuzz already

So I plugged it in and understood nothing, as it should be. Remember, knobs + star wars = win. Knobs + star wars + St = mega win. Within the next hour I got lights glowing, things flashing, octave fuzz, modulated tremolo glitch, crackles, pops, bleeps, screaming sirens, atonal noise, relatively clean ring modulation, daleks fighting. You name it I probably found the sound, or will find it tonight. And that's not even with using any of the expression capabilities. Which are insanely extensive.

I must have been a very good girl this year because Satan took very good care of me.

I wasn't sure what I'd find so I didn't open the box at all until today. Inside were individually wrapped gifts with candy instead of packing material. Imagine how great the world would be if everyone used candy instead of air...



I love British chocolate and I've never had Kinder so I'm pretty excited about this. The gifts were wrapped in hilarious and (I'm guessing) homemade doge wrapping paper.



I open a book, a CD, and a DVD; none of which I've read, heard, or watched before but all of which intrigue me!
I keep hearing about Gone Girl and I oddly love having books in foreign editions.
Just a couple of weeks ago I was thinking about Daughters; I remember that I liked their previous album and I was wondering what they'd been up to.
The movie is German and there's a warning on the back that says "Contains strong sex." That sounds pretty exciting to me. Plus, I studied German in high school so maybe this will help me bone up. (TWSS)
And, most exciting of all, THE FUZZ!

He sent along instructions. There are three different fuzz circuits to choose between with a mids switch and an additional fuzz/boost as well. All this variety and thoughtful design is what I'd expect from Gigahearts. This must be the most versatile fuzz around.
This pedal truly contains the heart of ILF.

The pedal is called "The Gift of Fuzz"
It is four circuits in one, all squeezed into an 1590xx case (145mm x 120mm approx).
Uses shielded cabling on the main signal routing.
Zero
3 of 4 circuits are available one at a time ("Choose your Gift!"), via a rotary dial, whose selection is indicated by coloured bauballs on the Xmas tree of corresponding colour. This forms the core fuzz experience.
This can then be stacked with a single-stage fuzz in series with its own volume control, which is also available independantly.

The arrangement and layout took a lot of thought and planning. The Red (CW Muff) and Amber (BeeBaa) circuit boards are stacked on top of each other, I used board mounted stuff on the middle one, and extended board mount pots on the higher PCB. The trimpot for the "Moar!" volume control is mounted on vero underneath the BeeBaa circuit. I used 9mm pots for the controls coming from the Green (HotCake) circuit to make everything fit.

In terms of wiring everything is cable tied off where appropriate and efforts were made to ensure power and signal didnt run in parallel where possible. The power distribution was handled by a vero, with each PCB getting its own 9v supply with 100R resistor for separation.

Overall its a massive box of noise and houses a number of vintage classic tones, with everything from clean and treble boost, gritty gain, overdrive, distortion and full on fuzz.

The icing on the cake (or, Angel on the Xmas tree, in this case) is the little ILF character that shits rainbows - the main indicator is a rainbow cycling LED.
