I'm hoping she doesn't take what I'm saying the wrong way. I was kind and explained it well, I believe and told her that I'm not the average user as well.
"ME BIG STRONG. BREAK PUNY KNOB. YOU MAKE BETTER YES?!"
She said you basically just tell her what color you want and what glitter you want. So I can definitely get a hot pink translucent sparkle

Ok! So based on her response, this lady is awesome. She's newer to this, trying her best but open to help, which I'm going to attempt to find a solution to the issue I'm talking about (hopefully I can find a source with some of my contacts).
I'll put her reply here. Hope that's ok.
Hey Adam thanks for writing. I really appreciate your input. I’m always looking to improve where I can, but I don’t quite know what you mean. The knobs are exact clones of 1510s I got from small bear so the size of the shaft shouldn’t be different. Some pots have smaller shafts maybe this is what your experiencing? Ive measured down to 6.2mm on various pots sold to me as 6.35mm which is significant but the knobs have always seemed to work without issue.
Could you explain the test you did more because I don’t really follow? If you mean the nut is loose inside it’s hole then I do know about that but I am limited to using what I have been able to find for purchase at reasonable prices. The variety of sizes in hardware of that size is limited and I’m not at the level of volume to be ordering tens of thousands of pieces custom sized hardware. If you have any ideas or know a source of correctly sized square nuts I would be thankful to hear it
Changing the size of the void the nut goes into is an option but it’s pretty difficult and time consuming so I was hoping I wouldn’t need to. I’ll work on that though and see if it helps. If I get it working I’ll let you know.
This whole thing has been a massive learning experience for me and nothing is set in stone. The materials I’m forced to use are slightly softer by nature than the injection molded plastics the big manufacturers use so there are some limitations to my product by default. I use the hardest clear two part resin I could find. It is very stiff but has some small level of elasticity. It’s kind of why I have been more preferential to knurled shafts lately. They bite in to it and stick very well. Unfortunately not very many people use them
At any rate thank you again for taking the time to test and write me back . I look forward to reading your reply
Thanks,
Lauren

Yeah I personally have 3 size shafts currently I install on my pedals, knurled, 6.0 and 6.35 mm.. and as she said there is variability. I dig the knobs.
Glad she seems as cool as we all hoped

Just based on the response I received, despite my issues with the design, I will be ordering more.

That's true!
I tried them on different shafts and they fit quite differently. They are snug as a bug on this pedal. So maybe it's the pot shafts of the EQD's? She did mentioned she'd noticed that though, so still some minor improvements could be made.
I'm waiting for her to respond to my inquiry currently. Ask about placing a larger order. Figured, fuck it.
Here's the different pedals with new knobs (I think it looks cool this way thoughts?). Also sending this to you today Louise! I forgot damn it!

I just watched videos of the Rainbow Machine again to remind myself of why I want one so bad. Man I hope this purple business happens soon. I really need this kind of madness in my life.

They'll be ready in a couple months. I wish they'd be ready sooner, but production schedules are what they are.
We'll just have to be patient.

Will be totally worth it though.

I got my knobs in today but I don't know how to post pictures so I'll just tell you guys what I think. First off idk why I was under the impression that the 1900 knobs would have set screws but they dont. I dont really like em without the screw so I most likely wont be using them. Anyways, I ordered 6 blue sparkle which look great, just like they do in the pictures and 6 purple sparkle...which don't look so great. I would say they look like when you have a older car and the headlights get permanently foggy looking compared to the blue sparkle. I also got 6 of the clear black and clear purple 1510 knobs and they look alright. I don't think I'll be ordering anymore knobs from her because I usually go for the 1900s but as far as quality goes they seem fine.

If you ordered these, they wouldn't need a set screw:
https://www.etsy.com/listing/587787244/ ... e_active_3
They're meant for splined/knurled shafts and should be held on snuggly by the splines/knurls. Only smooth shaft pots would need a set screw.
Thanks for the report!
