Simple? That's a bit of an understatement. The TSA was just jacks and a pot. There's no circuit board. If you can use a vending machine, you can build a TSA.
If the TSA was actually worth $150 in 2002, then something like a Thermae would retail for more than $7,500 in 2018.

after watching my reverb feed all this month....i dont wanna hear any more talk about "oh that shits too pricey for just a ______ ya ya ya...makes me sick...if your music creativity sucks cuz you cant get that amp or that overdrive should be 10 bucks not 15 well maybe thats why the world needs ditch diggers too. most I ever paid for a device was 400 and I still have it...I gotta solder a 1/8 jack to my radio but im too lazy to go to the garage, just like maybe some kids like ''i dont wanna buy an iron and get fumes in my face ma, but that thermae would surely put me on the right track in life" or "bae ju-jus- ok--hey--ok-just---can i please speak, its my hobby babe, okay, I love music...that justify a 12,000 amp head okay, shes part of the family now. if ya got it flaunt it.

Though I know a pcb will be in there, perf board is always delicious, whatever the price

98% of the time I'm in this camp, but the TSA (2002) was a total ripoff, and adding a basic booster to it certainly shouldn't have increased its asking price by $100.

Kind of interested in what the limiter actually is...like is it an true limiter? Or a volume for the boost? They make those neat IC limiters for cassette deck...would be kind of cool if they used something like that, but I doubt it. The phase selection is a good idea.
I think it's a nice way to bring the TSA back...may be a bit expensive. It is the pedal world where the Keeley sells his boost for $200. $50-$75 less would've been about right probably though.

Some of their appeal is graphic design and them being them, which is hard to quantify.
That CME video though....
Absolute Destruction is quite a fun pedal. Hates high output anything though...gotta run some volume in front of it but I was actually pretty impressed (probably pretty simple inside and I don't think it's as revolutionary as they advertised...it's like some other stuff Ive played, but it's pretty fun).
