first two minutes are long. Rest of the song is pretty

I hope there is more. This could be great in a big thing, but kind of a sad single

Oh I'm sure there's more—they've been talking about an album for a really long time now. There was that one little stretch when Thom was saying they might abandon records and just release singles or whatever they wanted, but I think that idea's sort of faded away.

I do wish they'd just released the whole thing at once.

What's interesting about the video is that if you're of a certain age and British the video is based on a children's animation series called Trumpton from the late 1960s which was obviously fairly innocuous, although did feature an alcoholic miller and some rather enthusiastic firemen... so it has a strangely disturbing effect throughout to those of us who can recall the original series. I doubt it was ever shown outside the UK. It's not something I'd recommend; there are far better animations from that period. If you feel like another piece of media intertextuality, the band Half Man, Half Biscuit recorded their own humorous songs based on the series for their Trumpton Riots EP... but again the jokes are rather niche and only make sense to a certain section of British society... I'm rather surprised by Radiohead's choice of video; their videos are usually much more universal in style.

Holy shit, I have a CD hidden away somewhere with some Half Man, Half Biscuit stuff on it. Completely forgot about that.

Ahh, right on! I had seen clips pulled from that show before in various places, but didn't know the actual source material.

Ok. So something happening to me. I'm not sure what. I am listening to OK Computer again for the first time in a decade and I love it. I love it so much I'm going to buy the album.

I'm so confused right now. I thought I hated it and I had all these negative thoughts about them. I don't even know why. Man.

Okay, first off, I'd rather listen to this than Radiohead. I'm a big Reich fan and I hadn't actually heard this performance, so +1 on the thanks.

Second off, The Wicker Man is one of my favourite movies and folk horror in general appeals to me. I was raised on UK claymationy stuff like Postman Pat and Shining Time Station... it's all Canada showed until the mid-'90s, LOL, that and lo-budge anime. Oh, and The Raccoons, I guess. But anyway, fucking love the video for the song.

The song itself is okay, but after one listen, it isn't memorable yet.
