I've maybe seen like two of the bits on Portlandia, and haven't really tried to watch more of it (only seen the Josh Homme and St Vincent skits, should I watch more?), but in a way it upsets me that Danzig is on there, poking fun at himself. Part of the appeal for me is that he takes himself so seriously that it's kinda comedic.

Please just take a step back and bask in the fact that theres six pages of people who are shocked and even in the smallest way jilted by the revelation that PHIL ANSELMO LEAD SINGER OF PANTERA AND ALL AROUND PIECE OF SHIT is racist in FUCKING 2016. 2016.THATS 16 YEARS SINCE THEIR LAST ALBUM. I will say, though, that Spacey is right in the sense that (as has been mentioned by dase and bc and others) it's never been very difficult to find out that this dude might be a shithead, so gnashing of teeth seems like 20 years overdue in that light, I guess.
