There are really only so many relationships Rey can have. She's Luke's kid, or Leia's kid, or Luke's clone (from his lost hand), or Obi-Wan's granddaughter (which could be cool, as Luke would reverse the mentor/mentee relationship), or related to Palpatine, or...she's not Boba Fett's kid, for instance. Gotta be one of the main players. All signs point to her being Luke's daughter, but that seems way too tidy. Waiting for a bigger twist than that, honestly.

Star Wars, at its core, has always been about the rise, fall, and redemption of the Skywalker bloodline. It makes too much sense that she is a Skywalker who will cause the redemption of Ben or defeat of Kylo.

Whether she's Luke or Leia's daughter remains to be seen though Luke seems the more likely candidate.

Luke's kid seems kinda obvious but it's hard to tell.

I wonder if she's not like the Emporers kid or something and will have to overcome her dark heritage

There's an idea floating around that Rey is Anakin's reincarnation and she is the vehicle to complete his redemption. I kinda like it.

The Reincarnation thing is fun, and shame on us for thinking that all beings in Star Wars have to be born from Parents.
