I totally agree with that. However, I'm turning 27 in three weeks, and I've been in a committed relationship for the past five years and we've basically come to the decision to not ave kids of our own. Eventually we'd like to adopt, but we don't want anything like that for a while.

got an appointment for mine in two weeks. been meaning to do this for years. i don't know if it's my insurance or the fact that i'm plenty old enough (38) or what, but there was no waiting time and no one being weird about "do you really want this?" or anything. i had to send in a form about drug allergies and shit that came with a pamphlet that was basically like "this is awesome you should totally do it!" and that was it. then i just called and made an appointment. pretty stoked to get this done and behind me. birth control has always been a rough ride for the lady in all the various forms we've tried so it'll be awesome to have that behind us.

yeah my consult was super nonjudgmental, I guess that it's mandatory to wait in NY after you've been presented all pros/cons and risks to make sure you've come to an informed decision.

I had mine done about 2 years ago, very very happy with the decision.
