Nah, this is clearly love. Both being like "Oh yeah, I don't care, whatever" while still coming back for more. They need each other, the movie is just an excuse for violent SM foreplay. <3 <3 <3 <3

Actually I come here to talk about mad max. and he comes back to say how much he doesn't like it as if it matters. So there is only one idiot in this equation.
I mean to actually say how I should leave the thread about the movie I like so he can continue to visit it to just talk more about how clueless he is to it since he hasn't watched it?
I haven't watched John Wick, but along those lines... loved Dredd.

Rusty just watch the movie… it's no worse then Avatar…

Did the thread topic change from "Hey, go see Mad Max" to "You must sit through the entire movie to comment and love it or else" at any specific point?
The real
clueless idiot is a vexed fanboy who habitually attempts to insult a stranger's intelligence...accusing [me] of being a *stubbling retard* only to trip himself on the word "stumbling" to spectacular effect. Couldn't have written it better, myself
If this is his idea of a battle of wits then dude is the black knight in Monty Python & The Holy Grail.

Rusty have you watched any of the movie? I may have missed that part?
For me, it wasn't a brilliant film. I actually was very, very disappointed when I saw it in theaters. I realized something, I set my expectations way too fucking high. I mean, what did I want? It has a shit ton of action, post apocalyptic shit, crazy bad guys, crazy good guys, a wasteland of insane shit. I mean pretty much has everything I want in a movie. LOL. So I did buy it on blu ray despite not enjoying in theaters. I watched it again and loved it. Who'd have known?
You have to take it for what it is. An action film. It's like watching the Expendables. Awesome movie, but don't expect it to be mind blowing with plot or substance. Expect some shit to get fucked up. That's what you signed up for.

"Don't expect Godard or Tom Ford when you go see a Mad Max sequel movie."
Jwar, you got it.

Mad Max is much better than the Expendables.
In fact, I think the greatest value in the film (if you can call it that) is that it may help people who aren't into cinema understand some of what makes up the distinction of a good film beyond subjective enjoyment.

It's well worth a watch.
Though, I generally try to avoid the hype train as well as avoid trailers because too often things get sold way too high and expectations never seem to line up. Then again, people also enjoy things differently. I did enjoy Mad Max more while at home with a couple of beers. But movie ticket prices are pretty high so it's no surprise that people's expectations are much higher when watching a movie.
That being said, I haven't seen a superhero movie since Dark Knight Rises and I don't want to see any more.

I had zero expectations, as I (don't) have for most things, and found this movie entertaining, if not exactly clever. But hey, this is a dystopian nightmare future where humanity is reduced to a primitive state of hunter/prey and master/slave, so I knew there wasn't gonna be much intelligent dialogue or whatever.
I know a really cool couple in the US, who travel to something called "Wasteland Weekend" each year. It's like a LARP/festival out in the desert based on the whole Mad Max universe, with crazy customized vehicles and everything. Can imagine it will grow a lot with this movie coming out.

Back on the subject of Tom Hardy, I finally saw 'Locke'.
I didn't think that a hours and a half of Tom Hardy taking phone calls in a car would be that interesting, but it was a really good film.
