GMD, his guitar playing is good, I don't like his demos personally, but I'll tell you what -- with that voice, that level of camera work, that taste in shoes, that whole clearly-a-future-episode-of-a-hoarding-reality-show-air-of-mad-collectordom...i think everybody watching is just praying he can play like an angel, because he sure doesn't have much else going for him, right? He's a pretty sad character without his guitar chops. It's really not comparable.

What the fuck are you talking about his shoes are fantastic...

If anything is controversial, it's this portion here!

Agreed. Burgs brought her back for the Arc Effects Klone v2 demo this year. They do flashbacks from older vids and everything, good demo of a great pedal.

Yep. :thumb:

And let's get this thread back to the genuinely interesting content in it and concentrate on Dons and Jammies new bands budget. :lol:

Analogman = GearManDude? if so, that's pretty surprising.

Analogman = Mike & Howard.

if you guys want a good demo character that is in no way a schtick but is an actual person, you should check out my buddy igor's demos on youtube.

dubkitty wrote:well, sure, it's a gimmick, or perhaps more accurately a schtick; i also think it is a tongue-firmly-planted-in-cheek sort of joke. i just think it's no more irritating than, e.g., the GearManDude demos, which also feature an invented character. you could argue that PGS Andy is an invented character to some extent.

I'm not sure if it is a joke. The videos never really sat well with me because it seemed that gimmick was the prime reason she got so popular. It bothered me that the first time I see a woman doing pedal demos, she's using a rather crass crutch to garner attention. Sure it's her right and she can do whatever the fuck she wants, but I'd rather see her grab all that attention with her clothes on. Not because her schtick offends me but rather I feel it might set a precedence for other females wanting to do that kinda thing.

Dude, I think ever part of this post... together... has to be the very epitome of what makes Burgs get up in the morning, see his daughter off to school, and then make pedal demos... ;D
