My views on what women can/should do with their bodies has changed dramatically after speaking directly to women who work in the sex/adult/skin industry. I am not a huge fan of having to get noticed in the music industry by showing tits, but I cannot stand that we tear women down for it. Their choice, not yours. It especially bothers me when men, who clearly like women showing off skin and pedals, would have a problem with someone else doing the same.
I get that certain parties consider themselves to be on the side of women, but maybe a conversation on what said women *want* would be more productive, instead of saying kinda mean things under the guise of feminism.
//end rant. Thanks for letting me come to the party late.
I just think that it's lazy advertising, but as someone brought up earlier it will always sell.

But that's not what we are talking about. I don't care if you like her work or not, or you find sex a lazy advertising scheme. We are talking about one guy being mean and condisending about her choice as a women to do it. Belittling the choices of women who choose to show their bodies is what bothers me about the original issue. Especially when it seems to be pretty fucking hypocritical.

1. I am a poor example of valuable women in my industry
2. I depend on my body for recognition
3. People talk about my body instead of my demos
4. I'm making it harder for women to be respected in a male dominated industry
5. I perpetuate stereotypes
Jack Deville wrote:You all realize the entire campaign was conceived and drafted by the woman in my avatar, right?
There's a big difference between showing your body and selling your body/services. Even if it's sort of only in jest.
Yeah, a person always has the right to control what's done with his or her body, but presentation plays a big part in how others perceive intent.
When you offer to write things on your chest for money, every scrap of possible validity gets thrown out the window ...

wow dudes. cool job ignoring shittons of sexism just because you like one builder better than the other.
for all the complaining about white knights, you are sure as shit having a hell of a time defending some backwards-ass thinking for some really dumb reasons.
to address (supposedly) your girlfriends ever so enlightened and Steinem-esque recommendations to FBG
1.) howso? there is nothing wrong with what she does other than societal preconceptions of "how a woman should act". this is especially funny coming (supposedly) from someone whose only contribution to the industry is standing-and-holding-a-pedal. regardless of how good you think FBG is (mediocre), y'all don't got a ship to sail on
2.) aside from tame as hell slides the VAST majority of the "body" she sells is feet that are usually in shoes. again coming from someone whose only contributio to the industry is standing-and-holding-a-pedal in a bra. personally i don't give a shit about using one's body for recognition, because the only objections come from stymied and cuckolded old man logic. but apparently you do, which is really backwards, yo.
3.) MEN concerned with how a woman should act talk about her body. anyone else usually talks about what and how she does demos. not her problem so much as everyone else's. and before you start with "wearing something will give you more dignity" thats just succumbing to expectations and societal roles, yo.
4.) once again, men are doing this. case in point: literally this entire thing. whats making it harder for women to enter any field is the predisposed expectations of "how they should act and look" by conforming to proper standards or whatever. take for example girl gamers. you'd refuse to believe that the tall thin blonde chick with bangin' legs, hips n junk would love earthbound, portal, fallout and hotline miami (literally someone i know btw). well tough shit dude, she does. go cry about it
5.) the only stereotype perpetuated is one CLEARLY done with tongue firmly in cheek, but apparently you're too conservative to realize it.
so i'm mostly siding with aens_wife and AngryGoldfish here more or less, since the rest of everyone else is too busy in the circle jerk. it was horribly irresponsible for your as a builder to even consider sending something so clearly inflammatory and demoralizing to ANYone, and also to continue in here with the "hey, come on guys. WOMEN, am i right?" attitude. it isn't THAT hard to actually be a man and admit you were wrong about something, but heaven forbid your fragile boutique builder ego be damaged by apologizing to someone who (to my knowledge) has done a couple demos of your products. and yeah, i'm being condescending and "i shouldn't be if i want an apology out of anyone" but really you're not in pampers anymore.
i was interested in buying a couple of your pedals, but like fuck i'm doing that anymore, lol.

Looks like I missed a big part of this debacle. Think I might take back my first post in this thread...
Jack Deville wrote:Furthermore, a woman conceived and drafted it (stated earlier), it that even matters.
It doesn't. That's a shitty argument. Women can be just as mean spirited as men towards other women. I'd stick with your tongue in cheek argument... if anything.
