Fucked some ninjas up last night. LOVE me some Skyrim. Still want an easy way to level though. I'm only an 11. Seems like it's taking for fucking ever! Almost done with the Thieves Guild quests.

buy iron ingots and just start making iron daggers. it's so easy to level up smithing. then you enchant them to level that up, and sell the enchanted iron daggers. easy to make money, and you level up smithing, enchanting, and speech when you sell them. :snax:

also, if you get the story mission throat of the world, or get the horse shadowmere from the dark brotherhood, you can use the leader of the greybeards or shadowmere to level up any/all of your offensive abilities - they'll never become hostile so you can wail on em all you like. bonus tip! sneak twenty feet or so away from shadowmere so you're hidden and hit him with your bow to level up archery AND sneak!

No Skyrim for me for a while, my fucking 360 just gave me the red ring of death. This sucks.

Damn, bummer. Hopefully you can get it fixed. Don't do "the towel trick" or anything if you've still got a warranty though.
Have you tried removing the HDD and plugging it back in? Sometimes it'll get loose and fuck with your system :idk:

Mine red ringed exactly a week after the warranty ran out. I totally undersold it to an electronics repair shop in Florida, and the shipping cost almost negated the profit from it.

Mine's definitely out of warranty, I've had it for quite a few years. I'm debating whether or not I should even try fixing it or if I should just splurge on a new one. Mine only has a 20 gig hard drive and it's close to full, and I don't have the wireless adapter. I get my internet wireless through my landlord, so that means that I don't currently have the ability to get it online.

I can get a new 250 gig 360 with built in wireless and Halo Reach and Fable 3 (neither of which I have) on sale for $250, which is the same as I'd pay just to get a bigger hard drive and the wireless adapter, so I think that might just be the way to go. And then I can finally join the 21st century and maybe get Xbox Live, or DLC, or most importantly Netflix.

mudcrab method. put on armor and the morokei mask. put a healing spell on your hand. put the difficulty on novice. find a mudcrab. let him start hitting you, all the while using your healing spell to make sure you don't die. your armor and restoration magic will level up extremely fast. boom goes the dynamite

Where are you guys finding masks? Is it part of the main quest? I'm not even doing sidequests, I just explore things and kill things.

Also, fire breath is pretty cool, though not as versatile or as hilarious as the push thing. Disarm is super handy when you've been mowing people down left and right and suddenly some guy appears who's like 50 levels above everything else. I hate that crap. 2-handers aren't for blocking, I have no defense.

It's really annoying how I seem to get executed instantly by anybody as soon as my health reaches 70%. But the only things I ever get an execution on are skeletons and shit that dies in one hit anyway. Also, the "25% chance to decapitate" is bullshit, it's only happened once and all I ever use are power attacks.

What pisses me off is how overpowered destruction mages sometimes are. I frequently run into a group of enemies, all the same sort of guy, mow down the melee fighters easily and then get killed in 2 hits by the mage (who also has way more hp than the other guys).

What kind of weapons/armor are you using?

I only ever get executed by "boss" type characters/monsters, and I execute at least like 50% of the things I fight.

In my game, all the mages almost always use only ice type magic which seems to do no damage to me. Try enchanting all your armor with resist magic or something like that.
