intothegroove is an asshole. He negociated with me for hours, for something I was not even officialy selling, saying he had cash in hands and was ready to paypal me and when he finally convinced me and was waiting for his paypal he disappeared for 24 hours and just warned me he had decided to buy something else. He's a time waster, avoid him.

This doesn't look super great for you Mr. intothegroove.
You might have been screwed over, it's impossible for any of to really know what happened, but this is kind of a blow against you and your word ya know.

i was waiting for someone else to bring up the fact that intothegroove is the only person with a bad ref in the good trader thread...

Well I wasn't going to reply to this thread at all but as it seems to be spilling out and into other aspects of my life, I should probably at least post something. I wrote the following in an email to Andrew about 5 minutes ago. If he and whoever else wants to continue to think that I'm an asshole, then so be it. As far as this transaction is concerned, I've done my absolute best to maintain communication and work toward a resolution - apparently, that's not enough for the guy.


"Ok, so I see how you do... You can't wait to slander people to make yourself look good while not giving others a chance to defend themselves. I finally logged onto ILF only to see that you've posted a huge campaign against me and yet you NEVER ONCE MENTIONED THE FACT THAT I'VE BEEN IN CONSTANT COMMUNICATION WITH YOU. That's alright. You know what, I kind of wish that I hadn't read that thread because until right now, I felt super shitty about this whole situation and was going to write this email telling you that I wanted to meet up and try to resolve this but now, I just don't give a fuck. I'm a nice guy that's fallen on some ridiculously hard times and I'm just trying to survive and do as little damage as possible during this ordeal. A reasonable person would have withheld judgement and waited to see how things progressed. Instead, you decided to call me names, talk shit about me on ILF, msg me on facebook and cuss as if your vocabulary was no bigger than the 5 swear words that you seem so fond of using.

Honestly, I had the intention on paying for the goddamned shipping (if necessary) to send the friggin pedal back to Paul Perry to try to get it fixed again. JUST TONIGHT, I worked extra hours and asked for an advance so that I could do this - as well as pay for some other things that need attending to. I just can't understand why an adult (how old are you, anyway?) would act so childishly. It honestly boggles my mind. You speak as though I had pre-planned this whole thing with the sole intention of screwing you over. Let me assure you, this was never my intention. I've said in my last two emails that I didn't appreciate you calling me names and yet you not only persisted but went so far as to talk crap to me on facebook, my email and on ILF. And you speak with such self-righteousness about having figured out who I was, as if I've ever hidden my face or name. Google my name; msg me on twitter (it's in my sig!) and talk crap about everything I do - I AM RICARDO DEGAIA ELBANDITO and I hide from no douche.

On ILF, you say that I didn't apologize for keeping you waiting... were you even present when we spoke? I teach a kid guitar for a measly $30/half hour and I called you when I finished cuz I knew you'd been waiting. I not only called you but then went out of my way to meet you on your schedule to give you the pedal. I apologized so much that even I felt like it lost all meaning. I even gave you 5 bucks back cuz I felt like such a dick. You say that I lied about the condition of the unit - did you even read the ad? It said nothing about condition. As previously mentioned, I ENCOURAGED you to look at the unit when you bought it: You looked at it and didn't say shit. My phone is cut off because I can't afford to pay it. My roommate's phone is cut off because he's in the same boat. We're BOTH effing homeless at the end of this month if we can't find more work or sell off all of our gear. And yet I'm still here emailing you and trying to work this out. I don't understand: Why are you being such a dick? Do you feel that the world owes you something? It's not as if I ran away and refused to talk to you. I just can't call you - BIG FUCKING DEAL.

This is just scandalous, no matter how you slice it. Obviously, it was a known fact the pedal was fucked up before he sold it to you. I'm sure anyone here would be equally pissed about the situation, maybe it wouldn't elicit the same reaction as yours, but it's a shitty move...and that guy knows it. Not the first time someone was screwed on a CL deal, won't be the last.
