This is good to hear. I've been working on writing and recording stuff but when it comes to putting together a band it's easy to get bummed out by what shows up on our local Vancouver Craigslist musician wanted ads.
Post another demo from your 2 piece. The last thing you posted sounded great.

I feel for you guys. I'm fucking lucky to have dudes who want to make the music I want to make, and there are a ton of good bands out here. I did have to go throught the dark times of searching craigslist and no, it was not fun.
Going through another dark time right now as the army and I are finally getting divorced. Dealing with the bureaucracy within an infantry battalion is enough to make anyone go postal. I am suprised it does not happen more often. I just want gone and it seems there is and endless supply of idiots who want to interject themselves and their opinions into the situation even though it is clearly spelled out in black and white in army regs and is not optional as to how to proceed. Fucking officers. college grads are suppposed to be able to read right?
Feeling massively frustrated and somewhat defeated but at least there is light at the end of the tunnel.
Misterstomach! Druden is coming to Tacoma possibly?!!! will be there!

I'm used to hearing hardcore bands, noise/circuit bent jams, drones, and warehouse raves in B-more. I've been some what of a hermit for the last 10 years though. Shame Richmond is further away

I didn't know there was a drone scene in b-more. For me both are equal distance, I prefer Richmond personally.
Not really a scene, but there some people that will drone out with their circuit bent/DIY synths. There's always something going in the warehouse district.

Not the greatest PA systems. If you are on the muffwiggler forum, hit up vmgas. He rents out a warehouse and uses it as a venue.

Here in chicago we have a very big and cool scene but its hard to get a lasting band together since the scene is so heavily saturated. Not a bad thing because the bands that stick rock. Doom and sludge here is definitely growing pretty quickly although traditionally chicago has a rich history in pop punk, emo, hardcore, post rock, math rock, and other instrumental music. I don't mind since I consider myself a pretty good pplayer so many times Iget into ffast math rock bands and add my flare for electronics and punchy riffs.
The last year I was living with my parents right outside of the city though which is a desolate wasteland of suburban cover bands and generic lolalt bands.

Cheers dude! We're going to try and get some studio time booked soon, my drummer might be moving in November and I'd like to have a solid EP down so I can shop it around and find new people to jam with.
You'd be better off flyering jam spaces like Bully's and Charts than Craigslist, that place is devoid of doom and people who aren't flakes.
