Ampeg V4b sounds like what you are looking for. A lot of the QOTSA's album Song for the Deaf was tracked with a V4b and a VT40

I've never played a v4. I kinda want something that will breakup a little bit. Don't the ampeg stay clean the whole time?

ok gents, need some advisement here. I have a line on this crazy SG that a friend from another band brought to our attention. Legit? Real 78 gibson? It looks wild enough that I might not care about it. My concerns are the headstock looks a bit wierd as if it has an inlay? over the truss rod area and the neck has a volute. I like necks with volutes, just thought gibbo's didn't do that. Love the story and the look though

when i picked my guitar up from fixins
originally wanted to use t60 as the base
but think im gonna keep that o.g.
dude had a tragedy so its on hold
but i figuured it would hold value
i know not that much
but i dont have many fancy things
hows your chinese 12 string holdin up to abuse
im into a kit
but there just as spensive as a anything else
not havin to strip is nice
wizkids finish is so ill
what if we take a bare body
and use it to cover a hole to a dungeon
rent some starving, lords of flys kinda kids
throw em in there to scratch at it for a week
hit it with the 220
soak it in the next doomroomers placenta bucket

I love that we have a baby factory going on here. For the record, I'm looking at getting the snip, so no more kids for me. Maybe I could collect some scrotal blood or some kind of seminal death fluid for you?

As much as I'd like to believe that ride the lightning story, I'm skeptical. Looks cool as shit though.

that finish would be badass.
China 12 is doing great. I had to bust it out the last show. I need to bring the pups up so they are a little louder, noticed a bit of volume drop after I switched guits. (broke a string on the black one during our 15 minute long song, like in the first fucking minute)

Keep an eye on ebay for kits. the one I scored was somebody's closet project. as in they got it for a project and then it sat in their closet for years till they sold it. I think it was $150 All the hardware came off a bc rich I had smashed the last show I played with AASS. OFR and grovers, Pickups I won in a DBZ guitar contest. Turned out pretty good considering my terrible wood skills.

Fuck dude, I really want to help you get the guitar you deserve. Something that devirginizes women and makes demons quake with fear on sight. A proper doomaxe of the apocalypse.

the lightning thing is feasable considering boeing is a major employer up here. I've seen weirder feats of engineering during my time in the military. Combine redneck engineering with million dollar peices of equipment and some oddball things tend to happen.
One of my favorites is the "water impulse charge" or IV bomb. Basically you take a bunch of see four and slap it between two large IVs and then hang it on a door you want opened. The water carries the kinetic energy with massive force and steel doors go flying open. Fun. :yay:

not sure if i believe the story, although it sounds like a cool story...but the guitar looks great. Personally, if its not priced like a gibson and feels good and plays well...i would almost buy it just for the looks of it...it looks DOOMTASTIC!
conky wrote:Just got offered these as trade for my redbear off of a guy on craigslist. Plus cash on my end to even things out. What would you guys do? Here's the list:

2000s Orange RockerVerb 50 MKI- maybe
73' Earth Sound Research G2000
73' Earth Sound Research G2000 w/ matching 2x15
69' Sound City 100 Mark 3 Custom Built
69' Ampeg V4B w/roadcase

let me know if any of those interest you
I play the Orange at rehearsals, but the 100w version...and its got a lot of mids and it dark as hell...i really like it. I use the dirt channel and set it to almost clean and kick in the Pharaoh, and its a match made in heaven...or hell i guess...but i have no experience with the rest...hope that helps.

so i've been pretty quiet lately...but been very busy with this phone app business...we are probably about a month from launching and will have the demo video and marketing material up and running soon...but in the meantime, we have a facebook page and you can go in and like and spread the word...and if you like the app when it launches, then great...or you can let me know directly if you think it sucks and how you would improve it.

check it out...let me know what you think...
