It's nothing you can really go wrong with -,the nut is already shaped properly, so you don't have worry about that. If you buy/borrow a file then it'll be shaped properly so the string sits perfectly. But as Achtane said, sandpaper will do the trick. Dunno, I've never used it but maybe 180 grade? Achtane?
Just fold it over on itself to make an edge with sandpaper on both sides and take things slowly! Sand a bit, slot the string in and check it, sand a bit more.

Yeah. Apparently my car's airbags were broken and didn't go off. It's really amazing that today I only have a tiny bit of neck pain.dubkitty wrote:i'm really glad that you're OK, Cats. seat belt, i assume?
I rolled a canvas top car on a highway. I should probably be dead or in the hospital, but I'm not.

Yep, you got it. I just use whatever's handy. Actually I think the folded up piece in my box-of-guitar-techy-stuff is like 80-grit for maximum laziness.goroth wrote:It's nothing you can really go wrong with -,the nut is already shaped properly, so you don't have worry about that. Just make sure you only widen it, you don't wanna reduce the height of any of the strings.

Counter Strike GO servers on ps3 have been down for a week an it's kinda pissing me off. Not sure if that DDOSing hubbalaboo is the cause but I want to punch valve in the crotch.

Yah, it's really easy. I used sandpaper to make the nut on my bullet bass bigger to accommodate a 105 gauge bass string.Achtane wrote:Yep, you got it. I just use whatever's handy. I think I hyperextended my shoulder helping my parents put their new fridge in, it pops whenever I move it forwards or backwards, rotation and moving it out doesn't seem to cause any pain or nasty sounds. Wonder if my subpar health insurance covers this shit.
