Hi my name is Kevin
"Hi Kevin"
I'm addicted to fuzz and loud rock n roll. Yep that pretty much sums it up

I registered here because there was no UncleMeat at this forum, and every forum should have one.
I also like little boxes that make noise.

I like little boxes that sound like Malvina Reynolds:

Somewhere there must be a Zappa/Malvina Reynolds mash up.
Welcome, UncleMeat.

Or somewhere there must be someone with enough free time to run with that idea and make one...
"Little Boxes" vocals over "G-Spot Tornado" would rock a lot of worlds.

Hey Guys,
Mat here. I've been a long time member of Talkbass and have been lurking and reading stuff on here for a few months. I'm based in Brisbane, Australia. I play bass and sing in a noisy original rock band. Im a pbass fanatic and use a Ben Lindsey 57 reissue type beast - which is the best bass I have ever owned and is so good that it finally killed off bass GAS after years of embarrassing spending on custom shite
Effects are definitely my thing - especially overdrives. I like all sorts of dirt but I seem to have the most fun blending 2 or 3 overdrives into my sound - and sort of ending up with a sound that is probably closer to fuzz at times. Current board (which has a revolving door on one end) has a bunch of Fuzzrocious - Dark Driving, Rat Tail, BDPG, Stache + EBS Valvedrive + Dwarfcraft Baby Thundaa + Smallsound Bigsound TAFM + Pog 2 + Diamond Tremolo..... And I've just contacted Officer Bukowski to add in some delay goodness

As you can probably tell, I see a lot of boards and designs that I like on here!
Beyond that - coolest thing about ILF is seeing builders share their designs and ideas. The DIY stuff is amazing. There's some seriously talented people on here. The For Sale thread will make me it's bitch over and over again I'm sure...
My pet hate (just to make my introduction more amusing) is digital pedal interfaces. Whether we call it Line 6, Source Audio, Eventide, Strymon, Zoom or anything else.....I'm guaranteed to hate it. It's like playing guitar hero and comparing it to playing in band....and then claiming the presets, configurability, version upgrades, expression pedal impedance and every other part of the rubbish that comes with it - helps on your path to "musicality" - when we all know you just spend 3 hours of your rehearsal looking for what else can be used. It's like a TV with too many channels - you never stop to watch anything
So in short, I'm a bit of an effects Neanderthal but will do my best to contribute with my limited knowledge.

38 yrs old, been playing off and on for 25 years.
Love just about any music that can be done with a guitar. Started playing with a squier hm3 and bought/sold all the guitars I have owned on 3 different occasions. 1 more time, getting back on the saddle

Found this place quite by accident (some accidents aren't so bad).
Hello all!

Hi, I'm not sure there's actually any point to posting in the introduction thread since I'm not sure anyone actually reads it, but here I go...introduction...there that was easy. This forum has pointed me in the direction of many unique and quality pedals/builders I never would have found before so thanks everyone! It's really been a great resource for me in the past year or so! I also like Calvin and Hobbes
