Back from the honeymoon (in total a 3 week break from training).

Had a OLY session on Sunday, wow so fucking weak I am. I was struggling with 225# front squats for 2. Legs shaking and shit. Ha, no more honeymoons for me. I did snatch 165# early in the day on the first attempt but clean and jerks sucked a bunch.

Yesterday did BS 5x5, Row 5x5, and DL 1x5, kept things well under my last numbers since I am trying to gain back the strength I had before I left.

BS: 205#
Row: 165#
DL: 315#

I experimented with double overhand grip on the deadlift, no hookgrip. Much harder and that 315# 5 reps took a hell of a lot more out of me.

This morning got to CrossFit at 6:30 am and we had 6x2 BS with 3 second pause at the bottom for each rep. Got up to a heavy 2 of 265# so that felt good.

Probably another week before I am firing back on the same levels I was before I left.

You're a beast, my friend. Two weeks and you'll back max repping. :)

Man, I'm sorry to hear that. How long before it heals? Was it a bad break?

335#/151.5 kg back squat today

Two fails at 340#, I feel like I could have hit it but I just lost steam and mental focus

Else shoulder was irritated so I couldn't really clean. Bummer. I wanted to throwdown today.

Saturday I did 20+ jerks off the blocks up to a PR of 225#

Vid showing lots of lifts but nothing above 180#

Does a pizza a 6 pack of beer and a few bong hits count as a doom workout.

Thanks

Was at CF last night, did a combo of 3 behind the neck snatch grip (wide grip) push press + 1 overhead squat up to 205#.

Nine months of Stronglifts in the bag (108 documented workouts :wha?: ). Biggest gains in deadlift for sure. Good results physically but the numbers aren't increasing much. Started going for 1 rep maxes recently on squats and DLs just to see what I can do. Plateaued on everything else so I'm going to reset and take another run at it. Tempted to try something like 5/3/1 but am going to stick with Stronglifts for now...I'm addicted to the simplicity of the workout and dork'd out on the tracking sheet and app.

Maxes can be tough, definitely a different style of training as compared to when you are doing 5 rep type stuff. Its also a bit rough to go for your max (lifetime) but on any given day you could fall short of meeting an old max simple because you are just not there that day. I had that happen the other day on a front squat, I missed 295# even tho my max is 310# probably for a few reasons. Sucked a bunch of dick but just gotta move on.

Good luck man. Keep pressing on
