Thanks guys! My little girl was pretty confused when I showed her. She did the drawing and I sort of told her I'd be doing this but I suppose she did not think I would follow through. Haha. Being a dad: Being an idiot by meaning to do nice things?

Just keep the drawing, it's one of those things she will encapsulate in her heart later on, remember, being an idiot might as well be as nice as or nicer than any other state of being.

soon as that heals she's going to play with depth, might do exploded, larger sections from the map in a lighter color to fill more space, mebbe little notes in the empty spots?

i am SO impatient to see what this will look like when we're done. rarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.

Is it the whole map? Or just Crateria?

Edit: looks like the whole map. Super Metroid is my #1 vidja game of all time.

hee. yeop! whole map!

i probably spent more time playing OG Metroid, but it's still in the months of game hours for both and the Super Metroid map looks way better as a background.

we had to cut one chunk in half but got the whole thing on there. SO can not WAIT until this is done.

just DAMN glad it's finally looking tied together, not like a kid put random stickers all over my leg.

heh. also, my artist, partway through, was all, "thank FUCK wiggles that you wanted it more sketchy and not pristine lines. hard enough to do super straight lines, but on the bulge of leg muscles? NOPE.".

The colors will lighten up with the healing, so it will be more vibrant. Like the sunflower will be yellow and not orange for instance. LOL. Color tats are weird. Can't wait for it to heal!!!

Here's it is all flaked off and almost healed! It flaked off better than any tat I've ever had!!! And all the color stayed! I found a cool trick to help healing.
