YOB, etc. vocalist/guitarist Mike Scheidt, ex-Tad frontman/guitarist Tad Doyle and former Himsa guitarist Aaron Edge have united in a new outfit dubbed Lumbar. The band will release their debut outing “The First And Last Days Of Unwelcome” in November through Southern Lord.
I think they recorded this already. I don't know how much they will play live though. Aaron edge sold off a lot of his gear recently. He was diagnosed with ms, and can barely play without excruciating pain. Dude's been one of my favorite musicians for years. He's been in so many bands it's ridiculous
fucking kidding me. goddamn ms.

Given all the amps you love, I don't think it is a conky amp given the price
I don't mind paying a lot for an amp if it's worth it. I've been wanting to add more low end and looseness to round out the tighter more mid focused Hotrod. What I really want is a single channel amp that will go from clean to full out Buried at Sea tones without the aid of any pedals.

It's funny but I can't see you with a Matamp. It's weird. I've seen you playing the Soldano, Marshall and Red Bear for almost three years now. That Sunn of yours fucked itself but that's it.

That Solarus sounded so fucking huge with a Rat and Pharaoh before it crapped out on me.

Sunn aren't especially reliable are they? Not at least compared to a Hiwatt or Soldano. I actually also rarely hear of a Marshall crapping out. Is that just me?

In my old band the other guitarist used a DSL and it died on him at practice. Took it to my tech to get him to check it out while retubing and biasing one of my amps and all it ended up being was a diode somewhere around the power supply input.

I should have said vintage Marshall. Everything before the DSL (so the JCM800 was the last). I hear modern Marshall amps crapping out.

Yeah, I've been pretty lucky with my 2204 so far. Haven't had any problems with it.

marshalls are fairly reliable. i've had a few small problems here and there with mine, but nothing big and i always felt like i could depend on them. sunns seem to have problems fairly commonly. they sound good, but it seems people are always having problems with them.

Too much awesome, not enough cash.
There is a green Matamp in the spam thread. Looks pretty sexy but I dunno much about them so I dunno if its a good price or if it is a sought after model for doom stuffs.

Yes. Yes it is.
Yeah I did see that, but to get it to me would be an exercise in financial brutality.
My wife would also kill me.

This man. This. Really want to pair a SLO style distortion with a fuzzed out member of the Matamp/Orange family.
Wanna jump on the Dunwich queue though, do you think nick would put me on an installment plan? :picard:
One day I'm gonna have a DA120

So I had a dream the other night that someone gave me an ibanez semi-hollow and it slayed. So I did some research and found this:
http://www.ibanez.co.jp/products/hb_pag ... ies_id=109
It's got that ibanez neck I love too. Just swap the bridge bucker out for something brutal and sludge out.
There was a cheaper model, the AS73 that can be had for $400 plus shipping, but the neck isn't the 3 ply, does come in black though.....like I need another black guitar.
I can't believe me GAS is attacking me in me subconscious now.

While I do love me some old school punk I actually haven't heard of them before! Off to youtube after the little one goes to bed... which leads me to my next comment....

I'M OFFICIALLY A DAD!!!!!!!

As some may have noticed (except those who are my facebook friends) I haven't really been on since Tuesday and that's because my latest aquisition finally arrived! My amazing little daughter Autumn Luna-Paz Marimow!

She arrived on Wednesday (yup 9/11!!) at 4:12 PM, 7lbs 1oz 20" long and perfectly healthy. We got home yesterday afternoon and have spent the last day getting everything situated and getting her accustomed to her new home. But anyways enough blabbering... Onto the adorable pics!!!!

Only moment's old:

And earlier today after she got her first air guitar: (I think we have a future flamenco guitarist here)
