it's not quiet by any means. just in the mix with the sunn and the simms, not as powerfull. both those heads are fucking nuts though.
From what I know about verellen builds, he errs on the side of caution. overbuilds shit so that it's never going to be stressed. higher specked components than needed. I'd imagine some more power could be squeezed out of it. The other two amps are both known for ridiculous volume though so it might not be a fair comparison. all have more than enough on tap for what is asked of them.

might be as simple as adjusting the bias.

I'd like to ad that since putting the 2203 into the mix, it just adds a lot of raunch and flavor. cleans are still pristine if i want it but it seems like the dirt has a lot more attitude. little things I do with feedback shine a lot more, just a raw sounding thing going on, very fucking happy with it. Mean.

i recently got myself an RB-300 s.l.k.
its on top of an old peavey 6x12
dual with a commander 4 and emperor 212
i think the commander is rg120
ive been hoping to get an r300 though
get rid of the huge combo
replace it with another"way too big for my space" box o' speakers
PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU WANNA LET IT GO!
i search everywhere thats searchable for that head
i got hooked on them orange randalls
they done me right and my sound is where i want it
so i aint gonna argue with results
and DUAL 300s would fuckin rule
im pretty sure there the same
but RB has no bells or whistles (trem or verb)
this is fuckin sick in here right now
whisk,skulls...damm
how bout everybody just post there shit right now
lets get some boners goin

Hahaah yea that's ever evolving. So much great jerk worthy gear. I'm hard pressed to ever get rid of anything. Mine really started evolving or I guess... expanding later on. I started off on guitar with that Crate G600 XL half stack in the back. And as ass that it sounds really in person recorded without any EQ... great beastial war metal. The bass gear was more when I was playing bass in 2 bands for about 8 years... like I said I'm more of a drummer or at least that's what I spent most of my musical career being. Hell it's only been in the last 2years I've really been more into getting more and more gear more so I can expand on the sounds and options I have to record my projects with plus I just love gear. These are a couple of pics from the same room about 3 years ago:
Pretty much the back wall, and only a portion of the great wall are there and the wall on the right didn't even exist. I did have a bit of different crush going with the Randall RG-300 and Sunn Enforcer and my 5 SS Ampeg SS150/140. I mainly collected them cause it was my favorite amp/crunch and could use it for everything. The Sunn and Randall came up cheap on ebay so I snagged them. The only head I ever traded off was a Sovtek Mig100H. At that time my old guitarist quit and was moving to Florida. I kept the Kustom 215 and the PA. Mainly needed the PA at the time for the vocalist. And now it doesn't even get used. And he sold the Sovtek to a friend over here that's letting it sit and rot at his parents house along with a Sunn Solarus rig. And I don't mean rarely plays, or plays shit that doesn't take advantage of either. I mean literally is in the corner of his old room unplugged. He's probably played them 3 times in the last 5 years and he won't come off it.
I understand keeping gear but not if you aren't going to at least play on it every once in awhile.
Thanks for the welcome Iommic!
AxAxSxS, hahaha love the new sig. One of my friends says that's what I'm doing and is quite jealous I have all this shit. What's funny is the Peavey 412/Fender bassman 215 and Randall RH100. that's his old rig. We were jamming last year and then he kinda decided or his wife decided he didn't have the time for it anymore so he had to just give it up. And I bought it off him. Also he left his Dean here and hasn't picked it up yet. He lives over an hour away but hasn't even asked about it.
ryan summit I'll let you know! If I was here about 2 years ago I would've been more than happy to let it go, but I plugged it up with that fender and started running that big muff in front of it. Oh god it's like a full body massage it's so good. I don't know if I could ever get rid of it now. And I literally only paid with shipping 150 for it. It was just on ebay and no one bid on it. I actually didn't know too much about it aside from knowing it was a 300w solid state from the 70's. I don't think I can live with out it now. I just have to figure out a way to record it at full volume cause as is... it aparently vibrate my computer so it freezes till I turn off the vol. it's weird but annoying when you think you have some sweet riffs down and you look at it's just frozen in place cause it can't handle it. Okay I have to go to work now. Damn.

whisk,
that picture of you the with pbr -- grinning ear to fucking ear -- in front of the massive bass rig is the greatest fucking picture.
this thread has gotten supremely awesome in the last few days.
i need to post up my rig soon but I'm doing some maintenance work on the vtm60 and hopefully have an older marshall 4x12 coming in soon. redoing the tolex on the vtm -- because staining is not an option with mdc -- and then hopefully staining the marshall that I pick up.

I haven't seen it yet. Guy claims it's from the 80's. He does songwriting, etc. for country & pop artists. He's not using it because he just bought a Blackstar Club 40. He's practically giving it away. We just keep missing one another.
Pics one I get it.

When some of my friends came over and saw my shit how it's all arranged and all they were like... Oh so this is how you are going to die.. I was like what do you mean... you are going to try to stack some other heavy ass thing on top of something already too high and it's all going to come down smashing you to paste... 'At least I died doing what I loved'
And thanks, been growing it since 2005 after Hurricane Katrina came through. I stopped trimming it in 2010. My wife has never seen me in person clean shaven.
