Got to hang out with Parker and Windhand last night at the Sidebar here in Baltimore. Complete shit hole venue, but was a good time. Asechiah's White Amp blew a fuse literally 2 minutes into their set, so he had to run out to the van to grab their V2 for backup. And then Ryan's drum pedal broke another five minutes after that and he fixed it mid song. But as I told them, hey at least that shit happened on the first day of tour and not half way through when they're tired as hell. Their set was awesome regardless of the hiccups!

The power at sidebar is fubar'd, i've seen more amps blow up there then any other venue. Atleast they had a backup!!! I wish I could have made it out there last night, but you know the situation I'm in. But I'm trying to head down to their Richmond Show in early November if you wanna tag along. Speaking of Richmond you trying to go to any of the SHoD shows? I'm going sunday to support my dear bro's in LORD.

I wish you could have come too dude! But I understand
Yeah I'm glad they brought backup as well. They were super well prepared which was good to see. Also, best trailer tetris I have ever seen in my entire life haha
And I think I should be able to go down in November with you, that would be fun!
I hadn't even been keeping up with shows recently down there but the SHoD fest looks pretty awesome. I'd kind of like to see Order of the Owl, and that rainbow of Orange

Practice went pretty well last night. We worked on a new song and the guy that emailed me a copy of our song with some synth on it came out. He's a young guy but he seemed really into it (he even showed up before any of us did). His amp was a Fender combo with 2x12s, a Showman or something like that :idk: so we couldn't hear him the whole time. What we could hear sounded pretty nice. I've gotta email him the songs so he can start writing to them. His synth setup is pretty neat. FL Studio and some other program on his laptop controlled by a MIDI keyboard.

I have a chance to come up on a Digitech Whammy 4 today for a really good price.

Definitely worth it to finally get to play around with one and work into some songs, but curious to see if anyone here might have anything they would be willing to trade for something like that.

More than a whammy, I really really need: Verb, Dirt(OD or DIST), Looper, Phaser

Have anything like that collecting dust and want to add some Brian Cook-ness to your board? Hit me up!

Whammy 4 is pretty cool, but the best one to me is the II. You can bounce between presets and the input volume is adjustable and you can make it track a little better or worse depending on how glitchy you want it. I kinda miss mine. Definitely fun to add some weirdness to your music.

I bought a new shaver the other day and wasn't used to the settings. I ended up cutting off way too much and I looked completely ridiculous. I bet I'd look OK if I lost the weight (in the process!) but the beard helps define the face so well, and it just makes me look like... me.
I just shaved my sideburns. I had been growing them for, like, 6 months. Then I dyed my mustache black (I have brown hair), and I look like the biggest asshole now.
I've been tempted to die my beard black. I have naturally ginger hairs growing in amongst the fair and dark hairs, but my brother's beard is just so much better being all black and super thick. I don't know how I can miss so many of the good genes when he gets so many of them. :idk: :grumpy: Perfect teeth, better jaw line, skinnier, smarter, jet black hair, better complexion (though he did have bad acne when he was a teenager) thick awesome beard, and I could go on. Ahhh well, at least I can play guitar, even if I did have to work my butt off to achieve it and he was just born with these gifts.

I'd be interested in hearing what develops of that. Do you still play through two 4x12s? Shits loud if the Showman is getting drowned.

Do it. Makes facial hair look ridiculous.

Yup, We both run full stacks and the bassist has an Ampeg 8x10. Shit is loud as fuck. I looked it up and I was mistaken. Its not a Showman, its a Frontman. 100 watts, but still was barely able to keep up with us.

Know there are some Jag afficionados in here, these look like great bases to hot rod, for a Mahogany Body this seems like a damn good deal:

Oh man..... Everyone in Drop Electric was running those when I first joined. They are horrible horrible amps, they don't get loud and sound like shit. He's gonna need something equivalent to the bassists rig to really keep up with you guys.

Yeah, we are going to try to run him through the p.a. next time. We didn't have an extra cable to run out to it. I've got one of those older Peavey cabs with an 18 in it that he can use. That way we can get that huge low end coming though. Just gotta find something to power it. Maybe I can talk my wife into letting me borrow her SVT3 until he can get something.

Summit, you are an unstoppable doom generator. I tip my hat to you sir. And cash is incoming.

Conk, that sounds like it could really work out for you guys. Nice.

I'm in a queue to vote. Fuck I hate elections these days. My faith in democracy is dead. Enjoy my donkey vote, assclowns.
