lordgalvar wrote:Nice demo Strange Tales! You are getting awesome videos out these days (always were good, but you are getting a sound!). Plus I got the ugly one that was meant for you and you got a prettier one that has a knob!

I think it is a tap hold mode? I think what it does is it keeps the effect on so you can use the bypass switch to set tempo? I honestly don't know haha. I probably should read the manual too. UC, where are ya?

Yea, agreed on the memory loss...but with that one, you'll never know what exactly to expect when ordering (but it isn't as random as IC Water, IC Flanger or KK).
Thanks for the kind words! I agree on the sound thing as well, Telharmonic is gonna be a big part of what I do. Plan to do a big "get to know you session" over Christmas break with my Akai Sampler, aim to have 5 songs out before I leave for Japan. :joy:

Haha, I'm just happy the mystery IC Water ended up being for you, and I even get to see you use it! (jealous of the Space Fuzz definitely, sounds sexy as fuck). Mine came knobless, I put one on myself because I hate not knowing where my knobs are at.

I'm going to have to explore this hold mode glitch thing later as well, seems cool as fuck.

NUX, haha... (Dang, UC Still the fastest haha)

Ummm...I would say that the IC Water probably falls closer to KK than memory loss but still totally different. Maybe even the Seppuku DEM? It's not like the memory loss at all really.

I was going to throw your clip up there UC, but I forgot! haha...

I think the KK, ML, and IC Water are all very different pedals in what they do. That's just me (and the owns I one ) though :idk:

Dheuthymos wrote: Yeah I was thinking about that one too, but it sounded really similar to the ICW (?) I wasnt sure which I'd rather have so I went with the ICW for that sweet 16s looper (I mean seriously who does 16 second loopers on delay pedals)
Really you can't go wrong, they are all unique and incredible pedals. The Memory Loss is its own thing for sure...full of incredible. The memory loss, Kompakt kassete and DEM+ are all built around the pt2399 chip. The ic water is a circuit bend on the nux time core pedal.

Be sure to check out the DEM+. This one is Crazy good too.

yeah there is little to no overlap between those three. i guess they are all delays but that's where their similarity ends. the DEM+ covers similar ground to the KK and ML but its got its own unique thing going on too.

I totally agree...I just think there is more KK in there than ML is all  ...still nothing alike.

Congrats on the Japan trip man! Sounds like it is going to be a blast! Go see Life and Gauze for me if you can (and no conflicts with stuff you want to do). And C!

Man, let me know when you get your release out!

!
well, the KK and ICW can both get those twisted warbly sounds so there is that.

Yup, that's where it ends with those two, haha.

kinda wish the IC had dirt of its own sometimes. would be cool if the waves could be distorted. i mean you can get alot of texture already but having some fuzz on the edges would be nice.

Yea, I know what you mean...

Speaking of which...mind warp is PT2399 too.

weird..did you check that new link on the site? I wonder if thats rhys/dr. slime's band maybe? i googled it and it said OUT NOW!!
but wut?

also messin with the IC and found I can get it into sound on sound mode when set in ANY mode, with the Time/Repeats full clockwise just by double stomping like in looper mode and then build up the pads. I might be inside of some weird glitch right now though, dunno. When its sound on sound if i turn back on the Time knob it introduces those lazer/watery sounds. Pretty pretty cool day of discovery :joy:

example without lazers but with clippin :(

UG, yea, I don't know what is going on with that linked site...I keep checking it to see if something popped up on it...but nothing yet. I dunno...I'll check out the source on my computer and see if there is any information there...

Here is a first bootup with a Digitizer...just to see how it cycles and stuff, kinda long (sorry):

Will make a more concise one later. I gave this too my wife; she said "Too much" and just wants to play the LAL 46...but yea, it is to weird not to keep. There are some nice, digital, bitcrush-kinda sounds in there...just gotta cycle through all the other stuff first haha.

Honestly sometimes it is just totally random with the gate and the arp times. Almost impossible to get anything "guitar" like on some settings...but it gets there eventually.
