ryan summit, It's an RG-300. It's plugged up the 1956 Fender Bassman 412 on the bottom. It literally quakes the room.

Skull, I like how this thread progressed where it was a sorta mini wall to an ever growing wall of filth.. meant in the best possible way.

odontophobia, didn't think I'd run into anyone here from the goat. That's pretty funny, that place is a horrible graveyard now. Even more so since just about every slur and curse is automatically edited. Did you post much or just strictly lurk. And thanks for the greeting. I don't plan on SLK goat version to be here.

yeah it's on the second floor which is a major pita. We bring 5 heads and cabs to shows, barely fits in the van, and at 3am it's not something that's fun to deal with. add in me being a bit of a gimp and it gets real fun. the room sounds great though. having odd angles lets the sound waves do their thing without running in to each other.I have thought about going to 2x12's just to make the whole thing easier to transport but most of my attempts to downsize have made me not as happy with how shit sounds.

Add a bass cab when you get a van. having that massive sounding thickness is addictive. Tony's setup has enough oomph that I'm not stepping on his toes, being a two piece? shit dude I'd run one amp with an octave down in front. 2 heads normal, one (or two)on the DL, would be crushing.

It was several years back, right before everything fell apart. I mean, it has always been a bit of a crummy cesspool but interesting people and some non-shit bags managed to be interesting from time to time. I strictly lurked and maybe posted a handful of times.

@ShaolinLambKiller: Thanks duder! Wish I could have big amps again/had the need for them like I used to. Slowly getting back there though!

@odontophobia: It's so true. I'm trying to condense haha. I've told her that I wouldn't consider anything more than a 2x12 until we get a house, which she was happy about hahahah. (Hopefully) the Verellen cab will be gone soon to make some room (but not really)

Oh it is though I didn't do the octave down. though what I was running which was 6 15's and 6 12's basically my 2 Kustom 215's and my Fender Baseman 215 with Kustom 412 column speaker and the Sunn 212 combo. The club had an absolutely terrible fucking electrical system I had to shut off one rig totally using the Kustoms and Ampeg SS150. Most people didn't realize I had shut off the second head telling me how amazingly thick and loud it was and all I could do was bitch how it should've been louder. haha

All my old bands have mainly been trios of drums, guitar, and vocalist. Usually with me on drums but in all those bands we all ran duel rigs or in a few of them just duel heads on half stacks. Only one we would bring out 2 full stacks.

I can imagine the aggrivation of having to pull everything upstairs back and forth. I barely can get motivated enough for me to drag it down the hall to my truck to go to a show. I'm thankful right now where i live my shows are very sparingly. Not like back in the day when i would regularly gig up to 10 shows a month. Now I'm happy to do like 10 a year.

There are two guys around here that might be able to keep up with me with gear one guy with some Orange full stack and another with a Green head and Emperor cabs. I don't know the Orange guy all that well and I never liked any of his bands from what I checked out. The other guy I don't really get along with. Tried jamming with him in 2 of my bands and he kinda just flaked out.

Odontophobia... you should go there just to see how dull and terrible it is now. It's so ungodly slow as well, the one thing that worked for me in keeping me entertained no matter the amount of shitheads on it was how quickly shit moved. Now you are lucky to move a thread off the main page. Oh plus it's been wiped cleaned like twice recently. Anything funny has now been erased twice over.

Skull... you are welcome it's some good stuff I hear in your pedals and builds from the vids I had heard. And hell i honestly don't need all i have right now.. that's not stopping me though. If my wife only fully realized what all I have. She knows I have a good bit but I don't think she understands the full extent.

Funny I was thinking the same thing about wanting to jam in your room. If were closer we could stock up a warehouse and just point everything towards each other and die in the volume collapse.

When some of my friends came over and saw my shit how it's all arranged and all they were like... Oh so this is how you are going to die.. I was like what do you mean... you are going to try to stack some other heavy ass thing on top of something already too high and it's all going to come down smashing you to paste... 'At least I died doing what I loved'

And thanks, been growing it since 2005 after Hurricane Katrina came through. I stopped trimming it in 2010. My wife has never seen me in person clean shaven.

my rig is mostly a revolving door, I went through a super high gain phase, then NMVs with retarded amounts of pedals, then to bass rig from hell (prolly my favorite wall of shit I owned), recently im on a matching marshall kick (I don't know why either).BUT 2203s are doomy as fuck if you boost it right and eq it right. once I get my studio built in the backyard its gonna be all out war trying to stuff as MANY cabs and amps into once place and play them all at once.

jucifer pls.

teleportation y'all. we needs it. some day all the uber rigs will be united for ultimate jam. it just needs to happen.

new bit added to sig ;)

Whisk, that 2203 circuit is growing on me bigtime. not the loudest by far but damn it sounds good and I'm getting comfy with the fine tuning of it. wish it had a teeny bit more low oomph. I might take it to ben and see if it can be tweeked for that.

best pic is back yard with the beer :thumb:
