Ancient Warlocks and Mars Red Sky (from France!) will be in Los Angeles Thursday, October 10th. We have the Five Star Bar on hold for us but no bands to play with. Any ideas? Ideally we'd have a local band open and another one headline and then we and MRS play in the second and third.
Don't you know a guy name Tad who lives in Seattle and happens to play in a Doomy band? :poke:

MIG! It is great, it just doesn't stay as clean as loud as I want since it is only 50 watts. But it has a great sound, really crunches with the lows.

It should be ok man. They all have terrible pots, its a given that you'll need to replace them, quite possibly the jacks and switches as well. It will probably have tube sockets in various state of decay that don't hold tubes too well, but these are all cheap to replace and typical of Sovteks. Make sure the electrolytic caps aren't bubbling and you're in business!
For a point of reference, I spent $400 on mine (mig50), then another $180 getting it into the country. I had to immediately get new power tubes and I've just got new pres and all those other bits and pieces, probably another $150 worth. I could've let it all go, but I love the sound of mine and I want to future proof it. It will be a lifer once it has some reliable parts in there. Yours might not be so bad, so don't freak out, I'm just saying you're getting it at the right price, just be aware you might be up to drop extra $s down the line.
Mig Party!!!

Well Iccan'twait to gget my insurance check and pay off all this spending to make up for my recent losses. Honestly I'm buying purely to make myself feel better, min is in and if I decide to buy another cab, I'll be running dual orange and min unless the orange sells. Can't be that costly to change the pots and input but that can wait imma buy some contact cleaner.

Gonna doom so hardon my future guitar and this cool cool amp

MIG BROS

PPS Evan I go the blackaacid, won't be playing it until Ifeel lazy to connect the trumpet to a mic

I replaced the switches on mine. I was afraid of breaking the plastic ones that it came with. Eventually I want to get around to switching the pots, but I think the next thing up will be the jacks.

Yeah the plastic jacks scare me but mine has metal switches. I don't like the knobs so I think I'm gonna add some other ones sometime soon maybe smaller orange ones. Just connected then trumpet and the synth and this thing sounds great. Loud but manageable even in my tiny room. For 300 bucks this thing seems great glad to actually have a good back up and maybe at time main amp.

Oh and black acid sound great in my synth although unity gain is full volume only, I'm sure that is because the output of my shruthi is just different. Can't wait to try it on guitar.

This is fucking amazing, I turned this on in the background and it immediately reminded me of when I first got into doom. Damn this is good shit, right now I'm going through all their stuff I can find on youtube.

I want a sovtek

Decided to go all out on that new 12 string, just was not getting along with how the lower cut got in the way. It started massive down pour while I was starting the dye process and instead of what I had planned, I ended up with this. Kind of an accident and then I went with it.

I dig the look man.
The way you can kind of see the grain appeals to me.
This "having two amps" shit is proving more difficult than I thought, who knew there were so many possibilities?
Everyone but me, clearly.
NEED. MORE. CABS.

Go for three man, that's where it really gets interesting. :thumb:

Glad you dig, it's definitely different and I don't think I could recreate it.

The preorder was held up because of production problems with the CD, so it shipped almost 2 months late. At least they kick ass! :thumb:
Ahhh hopefully my record store will have this in stock when I go pick up the new Chelsea Wolfe next week.
