The problem with the Super Ego is the fact that you'll probably start wanting other pedals to experiment in the loop, and unless you purchase a switcher you won't be able to use them without the Super Ego. It's flawed by design. It's not for everyone I guess. I don't have one but I will get one eventually.

I have the super ego on my board. I don't use it in any of my band's songs yet but I really want to start incorporating it. We are working on a new song right now that I hopefully can work it into. I have it set up with an effects loop switcher that allows me to switch a set of pedals from inside the effects loop to behind the super ego. The switch renders the super ego not usable when the looper is in series mode rather then loop mode. I might have to go back into it and see if I can wire something extra so that doesn't happen but we shall see.
But otherwise the pedal is pretty cool. In the loop right now I have a pog 2, a tremolo, and the orbital modulator which has flanging, phaser, chorus etc. You can get some pretty trippy sounds the drone while allowing you to play over top. You can also crank the mix all the way up and the direct down and just use the pedals on auto to get some weird sustained notes. It is a really interesting pedals that allows you to do some non traditional things.

Lady juice adds mojo
Just got back from way to much driving to get a Sunn beta 205 2x15 cab and a GK 400rb head that'll probably get sold here soon, and my Algal bloom got here today. I wanna go mess around so bad but have to go get groceries with the wife first.

You don't know how to use three shells?
Man she was hot back in the day... I wonder what happened to her after the divorce from Jesse James.

happily ever after?
Still have noy gotten alone time with th Algal and my typing sucks because one hand is giving a back rub. yay marraige.
Edit: Later and I did get to play with it, really nice versatile fuzz and some great sounds in there. I dont see it going on the board as the fuzz I have allready can cover most of what the Algal does that I would use. Where it differentiated itself was the starve settings which were a lot of fun and made some cool blatty spitting dirt fuzzy noises. But thats not really where I'm going with the band. So it's probably a keeper but might end up on the currently theoretical "side project" board. Really a cool fuzz but its going up against the Burial Chamber>Pharaoh>Elements>Ape Blaster!>Destroyer. Kinda stiff competition. I do like that its not brown as I thought but is a cool red sparkle thing.

man, i'm getting jealous of everyone talking about gear and actually using it!
my in laws have come to visit from australia, and i've had to pack up my amp and pedals for the next 4 weeks, due to space (fuckin london flats!)
and for the least week...my gear has been the SG in the Zoom G3 into Headphones...i guess i can be thankful that at least i have the Zoom and it sounds ok...but there's nothing like playing through an amp...
