Never played the smmh, with the controls set to a minimum the water sounds become less waves and more of a bubbling texture. Pretty consistent across modes, I use this often to add movement and thicken up lines. If you're looking for a different delay they don't come more original than the IC water. You might wanna check out the Lastgasp Art Labs Misty Cave too, it's another unique take on a delay pedal.

Yea, misty cave is nice, as is the Kompakt Kassette (though I tend to use it almost like a slapback with only one repeat...I actually like it as a preamp/distortion too).
Koma BD-101 will give you a lot of fun too.

4?! That's at least 3 months rent dude.
Also, demo that Hystersis super hard for me. I'm waiting on your demo to see if I want the Hystersis or not. Definitely getting the Eccodrone though.

You don't have to tell me (or my gf, plz)!
I'll demo the shit out of it, haha. Maybe Eivind will help me, as I'm a ring mod n00b.

Here is a listen to the sub-octave synth with 2-down/glitch enabled into IC Water. Awesome pairing with the IC Water doing crazy shit, love the bubbling sound at the end.

So much fun hitting the IC/Digital Water with a hot signal. Makes it lose its shit. Kind of reminds me of the Echo Degrader a bit, I mean, before the trailing bubble sounds

I guess I should say that I joined the current order club...couldn't resist a ring mod like thing (we will see how ring mod it is! haha, got all bummed when I tried that crystal dagger with ring mod...). I'm such a dork (and will never play live again haha...sometimes I wonder what's the point?)
That last clip was really good too UG...

So here is a listen to what the IC Water does when the stars align and you record a loop and it keeps it going through the modes. Just played one note, looper engaged it started that glitched repeat. Then Reverse first, then mod where it kinda drops out, then Pan brings it back, Ping pong, the Analog, Digital and Tape. You can hear me play the note again a couple times when it got into the analog/digital/tape modes cause it was mostly just playing the same cool built up loop in those modes. Seems that the loop gets added to, the more you play adding to the rhythmic/texture that keep going, really diggin this discovery.

Man, that sounded amazing UG! Either you are much more adept at this pedal (likely) or mine is totally different...here is my little demo:

Just kind of tinkered around and tried to show things in different settings...I pretty much only get the laser/bubble soundzzzz. haha. Got some waves though...
Some octave up love from the spacefuzz, arp on the reverse IC Water, some ring mod like tones, and bubbles filled with laser bacteria.

You don't have to make any apologies.

Sounds great to me.
