But seriously... the guts on those things is a work of art. I would take the bottom plate off and hang it on my wall.

I know, right?

I would never drop the cash for what these are going for, but I actually found a guy on TGP that was wanting to trade for a Pitchfactor, so I thought "what the hell, let's do it."
It's surprising how many sounds you can get out of this thing with only 3 knobs and 3 toggles. It can get thick and heavy like that Doombender I recently picked up, as well as getting a nice big creamy scoop of a Muff... maybe a little more like a Buzzaround. IDK, I am going to have to play around a little more with it if I am going to start making comparisons. Cleans up like a champ though. It's such well a thought out design. greigoroth is right, the guts are a work of art too. Attention to detail all around.
All that to say, I probably wouldn't, and didn't, drop the $400-500 that these are going for. You could possibly get similar results for less. I'll also go out on a limb and say a lot of ppl here wouldn't like. This one belongs at TGP, but I took it away from its family, and now it's mine

At first I thought about getting it just to flip it, but I think I'll hold onto it for a while. I might add it to my temp trade list, if anyone wants to give it a try. After all, isn't that what it's all about? Sharing in the brotherhood of the fuzz. Normally this is something I would never be able to get my hands on, but it's fun to try some of those "it cost how much?!?!!!?!??" effects.

The main difference between me, and someone from TGP, owning this is that I don't take myself, or any of this, too seriously.

Incoming... EQD Organizer & Blackout Effectors Blunderbuss!!!
And I need to order a new enclosure and I'll be able to finish up my Tap Tempo Tremolo. I screwed up the drilling on the first enclosure I bought.

Yup, agreed
It's both germanium and silicon.
I've become quite a Tym Fanboy by the looks of it but their pedals really are great and helps being local (for once!).

I had one, sold it to try something else... I kind of regret it a bit. It's the best sounding octave pedal I ever tried.
Never tried the Octron 2. Does not track as good as a polyphonic octaver, but sound more organic.
