I have, and they are awesome. I didn't find myself going back to it though and thought they were way better live. It is very good! and I think a lot of you would dig it, but for me it was something to listen to, appreciate the musicianship and artistry and then not really want to listen to over and over like I do when something really grabs me.

Do give it a listen. this is just my take and even if you get what I got I think hearing the composition and playing and everything they do is money well spent.

dazedbyday wrote:Alright guys I am super excited because I just finished my newest build! I did most most of it myself with a little technical help from Nick when I had a question. But besides the faceplate I built it all myself; drilled the chassis, layout, built the shell etc. I took a matamp gt100 schematic that Nick gave me and combined it with a gro100 schematic and through in the vox hi cut that electric amps uses as their presence control. I also expanded the FAC control (labeled deep) ala duniwch so that it has 12 positions instead of the 4 or 6 that are usually on there in matamps or oranges. I have the full build album on my facebook if you guys are interested and want to take a look. I might make another thread in the doom room forum and put the link there. But behold:

There are a lot of different things I could say, but this should nicely cover them all: :doom:

Thanks for all the support guys. I am really proud of it so far and hope that it can stand up to a full band practice. Hopefully there are not any or very few little gremlins hiding in there somewhere that I need to fix. I took a lot of time to make sure all the solder joints were solid so there would be no loose connections. I will try and get some sound clips and even better, some video in the next week or so.

Mike, fuck yeah dude. when you mashed that string and just kept going and then finished off with takata's lp. good fucking shit man. I hope you guys got what ya needed for recording. so kickass. what a fucking set that was.

thanks man- that was a ton of fun and you guys were stellar as usual. that was literally the first string I've broke on stage in like 8 years. I used to always bring a spare guitar for just such an occasion- stopped doing that a couple year ago. gues I should start again. anyway- thanks a ton for playing, I hope someone gave you guys a cut of whatever the proceeds ended up being, I had to split early as my old lady got some fucking migraine or something

Oh hell no man! We did that to help you guys raise the moneys! I'm hoping it ALL went to you guys and that it helps out with the recording. So jealous and can't wait to here the result.

Here's some pics from the show. Decent shot of most of my rig during soundcheck-

Great turnout even before any bands played :thumb:

Looks like you guys had a killer night indeed. Nice!

Yeah dude that amp looks pretty tittly. I'm hanging out for the clips to pop up on that thread. Will be sweet.

Gonna have a burl at that new Lesbian in the car now....that sounds way cooler than it will actually be. I do look forward to hearing it. If its like you said dude, I like a think piece.
Off to work. Ugh.

I had another idea for a cool EGC. Imagine a neck-thru, fretless (not sure of the headstock because he probably can't do the full scroll but that would be amazing). Aluminum body but lucite would also be cool, maybe a smoked lucite. But somebody besides Eastwood needs to bring back the Ampeg Scroll bass (the vintage ones are awfully pricey considering that many have playability issues).
