Snagged a used doepfer quad adsr on reverb!
Kinda taking alot of space for my system but I know I'll upgrade before too long so I don't really mind.
Now with everything I ordered my system looks like this:
Still waiting for more than half of the system
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1487655
Planning on selling the trigger expander (nerdseq seller did not want to sell separately) to make room for another oscillator (maybe doepfer standard vco) and some vca (probably xaoc tallin).
Ordered a lot of things from europe and the u.s.a, I hope I don't get hit too hard by customs and taxes...

I feel like I keep up with this thread for the people along with a side of eurorack. So I say go for it?

lol. exaaaaactly. i am going through a Not Now Euro phase right now, but still love reading up on what everybody is up to.
oooo! SNAP. we have been looking for more space, just got turned down for a 4 bedroom place that was.... exciting as hell, by honestly more space than we need.
BUT. signing the lease on a 3 bedroom spot in a couple hours. same price as the 4 bedroom janger, but the 4 was actually a bit underpriced for the yarea. whiiiich makes me wonder if there was a Weird Thing we didn't notice.
but. going to have a whole room for musics for... shit. i think the first time in my life? WOOT.
lolllololol. i JUST got super comfortable with my setup, but this will let me have a section of occasional use loot, bring it in with a patchbay. want to try a dual monitor setup too. i'm using a 35 inch monitor now, it's awesome, but in Live i still have to tab between things more than i want to.

Yeeeaaahhhh the whole music room. I love it. Actually I guess mine is now mostly my office since I've been working from home

but I still think of it as the music room.

Yeah, I also have a whole music room that's also been mostly my office hahahaha
But it's really nice to be able to close the door, turn the volume up a bit and not have any complaints about whatever sounds I'm conjuring. Though, I still avoid turning the guitar amp up to 11.
Very excited for you Behndy!

Thread should probably be named "...talk about making electronic music?" which would clear up any inhibitions about Ableton posts. I support Ableton posts and other posts about making electronic music as that is one of my hobbies, too.
I support having a whole music room (though mine is now also my work-from-home office, god damn this capitalist nightmare) and have had one for the past 10 years or so. That is because I move around for my wife's job and made the condition "I will move to weird places as long as I can maintain a noise room." The noise room I have now is superior. I have three set-up areas: main rig, modular-on-the-rug, and "EXPERIMENT ZONE ALPHA BETA NUMBERS."
It's about time to tear down the "EXPERIMENT ZONE" because my last EXPERIMENT sucked donkey dingus. Future Retro Zillion controlling Kurz RS2500, MAM SQ16 (this machine is an ass-hole! I will sell it when I find a box! Do not tell others it is an ass-hole or it may never sell!) controlling Roland R8, and an old Boss DR550 controlling eMU Pro/cussion. It sounds like donkey ass farting a cloud of donkey dust into the mouth of a giant rabbit who has diarrhea.
Not sure what the new EXPERIMENT ZONE will be but I have some vague idea about using the Volca FM, Bastl Microgranny, and a Pocket Operator to make no-core tech-wave spit-hot.

I'm in the same boat with the music room turned office space. Luckily, I have taken over the entire basement and there's a lot of room for me. The main synth setup takes up about a third of the basement space with my guitar and bass amps and pedalboards living underneath/between the synth desks. I am running out of space to store instruments down here again after pulling out my banjo and buying a Gretsch Gin Rickey. I think I need another three to five space guitar stand

Plus maybe a proper stand for my buddies upright bass that is just awkwardly leaning in the corner. I guess I technically have more than just the basement too as my acoustic, banjo, and M4 live upstairs next to our upright piano in the living room.
The rest of the basement space is a living room setup where I work (I need to actually invest in a proper desk and office chair since this work from home thing doesn't seem to be going away anytime soon), a soldering area that I barely use, and storage (mostly LEGO and cardboard boxes that I really need to clean up and probably just recycle).

Pretty much the same here.
It's fun to have space for your gear and not feel too crammed. I only need a bigger desk for my modular and speaker, mixer, etc.
Received the mob of emus (jeez I'll have to take some time to understand it properly) and xtreme filter today

The filter is sadly too deep for my 4ms pod so I have to wait for the doepfer case..

Just heard from Moog Audio and my Mutable Beads should be shipping this week and my power supply (black uzeus) should be shipping at the end of the month. They are so slow on preorders, but to be fair, I didn't realized the power supply was a pre-order
I believe the 4th batch of Clank Chaos is supposed to be available this summer so hopefully I'll have that soon.
Then I just need a Maths and a couple of Mutable Ripples

I've been waiting for the day when I start playing music during a meeting while off mute. Hasn't happened yet!

I accidentally had a patch running while playing dnd and no one thought much of it, like they just though it was background music.

Any suggestions on what to fill my system with?
https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1526527
I was thinking I'd get an oscillator but I've been suggested some fx, joranalog contour, disting ex, utilities, wavefolder... I plan on doing krautrock type stuff with my system, maybe jazzy semi-random stuff too. I was also recommended a seq switch but I don't see the point of it when I have a nerdseq.
I also have a nerdseq more triggers (so in reality I only have 2hp left) but I don't think I'll use it so I'll probably try to sell it and have 10hp to fill. Also I have a keystep for clock and entering notes in nerdseq and a blackbox for drums
