I remember her now! I remember seeing the photos of her on her way to recovery. Rescue dogs are wonderful, but sadly (or fortunately depending on your viewpoint) we rarely ever see Pit Bulls here in Ireland. They are highly marginalized and arguably under-bred. Some would say this is good because in America they're over-bred and the shelters suffer as a result, particularly since so few give them a chance. But I really think they're an excellent companion dog for those who have time to kill and the love to spare. I barely ever see them here because they're frowned upon and kept under wraps. Can you believe that they're sold here from anywhere between €100 and €700? They're a rarity. This is probably a good thing though, because it makes sure those who just want a fighting dog for free won't buy one and use them as bait or abuse them in any way.whiskey_face wrote:oh ya dude. thats miss daisy sunshine. shes a fucking trooper. Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I don't actually play that high up the neck very often any more. I'm used to Les Paul's, Telecasters and Strats so upper fret access isn't really something I've developed much of over the years. When I was into shred and bought an Ibanez, I was widdling away up on the 24 fret quite happily, but I soon stopped with that malarkey and moved back to rhythm work and melodies. My Ibanez Artist AR100 has an excellent heel joint where the neck meets the body. It's sculpted and carved as if it were neck-thru, but it's glued on.HeavyXIII wrote:I dunno about Ireland, but I see plenty of people selling brand new stuff on here all the time. Result of unexpected expenses, impulse buys, that sort of thing. Might still be worth a look.AngryGoldfish wrote:The Angelic Process were one of the first Doom-ish bands I'd ever come across. I've been listening to them for years. It's a really sad story.
On a lighter note, though, that guitar is stunning. There is a S100 Polara for sale locally to me—well, the other side of the country, but our country is small. It's brand new and from the 2013 reissue. Apparently it slays. I might wait until more reviews crop up, though, because it doesn't resound very well if a brand new guitar is immediately put up for sale.
On the other hand, the only thing that's kept me away from S-100s and Polaras and stuff have been the neck heel. I've never been able to comfortably play on them. I sold my Eastwood over it, and avoid LPs like the plague. My Agile has some of that Guild look, but with a reduced neck heel, which is much easier to play around.
Why must you people do this to me?!AngryGoldfish wrote:If you love stained guitars with natural colours, check out Hufschmid guitars. The most stunning work you'll ever see.

Yay puppy! Such a cutie.
Here's my new baby. Paid her off last night after driving over an hour up north to sell my acrylic drums to our buddy Sean in Stereo Creeps.

Re: The Doom Room: ILF Edition
I took my son (5 yrs old) to his first show, which happened to be the melvins on their 51/51 tour. Kid got a Dale drumstick handed to him, crazy stares from Buzz, and played tag with Dale after the show. Awesome awesome time, getting to share one of my favorite bands with my son and then that kind of treatment by the band. Something neither of us will forget.
