Man all you fools need to be less insecure about your music. I really enjoyed this dude, you should do more piano stuff. ( You might actually this is the first thing i've listened to you made)

Thanks man. Maybe I'll hang onto it then. I have some more piano stuff and modern classical stuff. I'll repost for you later when I get home from work. :)

Some other stuff to listen to. The first three are just virtual instruments - the first two of which are finished songs, and the third I'm still working on. I don't have any recording equipment at the moment. Been looking for upright bassists, cellists, etc. to fill in the spots I can't play myself when I do some full recordings. The fourth one was recorded a while back, but I fucked up the audio somehow - it goes from stereo to mono, or mono to stereo or something, idk - also I screwed up the timing in the beginning and in one or two other spots, oh well, I'll rerecord eventually although it probably wont be with the rest of these since I think stylistically it's pretty different. The other one you heard already is called Remembrance.

I really dig the creepy, but still somewhat hopeful.. idk what im talking about but that's how it sounds to me. Whatever string instrument that is awesome as well kinda earth-y. Also, it all sounds great for not having any recording gear.

Thanks man. I like working with melancholy or bittersweet moods in most of the music I write. I'm trying to put together 5+ solid songs and then try to get some recordings done. I'm having trouble finding a cellist or upright bassist so I may have to stick with virtual instruments for those - although I'll try to have them done better. I'll have to settle for virtual instruments for some of the stuff otherwise I'll probably never end up recording like when I was trying to get people together for a project of stuff I wrote like this and couldn't find a drummer. These ones are just all fake instruments.

[soundcloud]http://soundcloud.com/jfrey/the-happiest-song-in-the[/soundcloud] (and this one's a little different so I don't know if it would have been used anyway)

And then the same thing happened when I was trying to do a drum and bass duo sludge/doom/post rock project.

Some finished, and unfinished songs in there.

I think I'm getting the hang of setting the bass properly in a mix. Some whammy-ish stuff in there too...spacey and slow.
