Be careful with the ISMS, I think it was mentioned earlier in the thread that it's really shallow. So not all modules will fit

Yeah, that was the first thing I noticed... already ruled out a couple of modules that I had considered based on that, but found others to replace them...

Though now that I'm saying that, the Doepfer is too deep. Ah well, wasn't falling over myself for that one...

The new Intellijel cases are similar, but they don't have as many options for tiles. I have little doubt they'll be releasing more though

I like the idea of tiles, but I also like the idea of something with (at least some of) the utility stuff taken care of for me. One less thing to fuss with, yanno? Add in the competing formats for tiles at this point and the ISMS seems like a better option for me...

Kinda torn between the Mangrove and Spectrum...

Well, not everyone needs the same utilities modules... I'm going to get an Intellijel 7U cases when they finally release them (should have been a few weeks ago, they have the parts and have made some already), their 1U modules are nicely priced so far and they are going to release more (I even read about am 1U reverb somewhere...).

Hey, so whats probably a super n00bly question (just been reading a bunch), why is it that the Make Noise Rene (probably more modules than this but this is the one I've come across) requires an "approved power solution from Make Noise, Tip Top Audio or Doepfer"?

I've come across a Pittsburgh Modular Move 104 case on eBay I'm pretty interested in, but obviously I don't want to get it if the Rene won't work with it, i love the look of that module. It has a PM psu.

Thanks folks!

I mean, that's the generic warning you get from manufacturers regarding warranty. Check the requirements against the Pittsburgh case?

You can actually power the Rene with just a simple +12V power supply. I've seen photos of people putting theirs in small cigar boxes, etc.

So Moog Audio messed up my order. I ended up getting a Dixie II instead of a II+, which is honestly a fairly reasonable mistake to make. Sent them an email and waiting on a reply to see what they'll do about it.

But, they did include the right filter and holy shit the Koma SVF201 is absolutely amazing. It transitions from smooth to gnarly so well.

Quick instagram video of the SVF201 and Warps getting along quite well:

Bleh, linking to Instagram never works for me anymore. Probably because I had to switch my account to private after getting constant spam messages.

It's the top post on my account (mrnovember24) if you have Instagram. I might record this patch after I mess around with it some more, and if I do I'll toss it onsoundcloud.

One of these will arrive soon (module based on bytebeat-type sound generation, with an arduino under the hood) :

I'm getting one for free because I'm going to code a few extra modes for the module... :joy:
Bret from Microbe Modular is sending 10 of those to various people to code new stuff, great way to extend the possibilities of the module :thumb:

(I know it's not technically for free as the code will be available to everybody, etc. but it should be a fun exercise for me so it's all good)

Sorry if this has been mentioned somewhere before, but just a heads up that Folktek are doing a free giveaway of their new conduit module over on facebook for all you modular people.
