How much does it cost to build a SHO and how hard is it?

It is a simple circuit. However, getting it to fit in the tiny enclosures is a challenge that I haven't done yet; I've only read about others doing it. Certain I can make the PCB small enough to fit, but it is everything else, and drilling the enclosure.

If you build it in a standard ZVex / Devi-sized case, it is really simple and costs no more than $25 + shipping for the parts, if that. Don't forget tools: soldering iron, solder, solder wick, drill press, drill bits, paint. Can be cheaper, depending on where you order parts from. I build on perfboard but you can spend a few extra bucks and get a nice PCB for it from someone like Madbean. Then plan on spending hours and hours of labor assembling it, especially if you haven't done it before. Seriously, I always underestimate the amount of time that goes into building a single pedal. I've also been soldering for over a decade now and feel like I'm fairly clean with my work, but others blow my work out of the water. I'm sure the quality of a ZVex pedal trumps mine. So, your mileage may vary.

They're great, it's what I approximate eating a cloud to be. Also much like goldfish, they taste great stale and, if you don't like them, you can have peep wars.

Peeps are so horrible, and the worst part is that I feel incredibly guilty throwing them away 'cause they're cute deformed Chernobyl birds.

I used to choke them down solely because my Meme bought them for me and I didn't want her to feel like she was a shitty grandma for not buying good candy. Either that or she knew they sucked and bought them for me so she could stand there and watch me painstakingly suffer through those radioactive douchmellow birds. :idk:
