Thanks, guys.
Yeah, phanta, Gravity's Rainbow is pretty dense.
Meanwhile, I still haven't finished that screwdriver book.

Gravity's Rainbow is rad, but I also really liked Inherent Vice.

I'm getting pretty into it so far.
After I finish that, I really want to read The Lord of the Rings.
I haven't ever read the trilogy before, and I think it's something I would really enjoy.
The Stand is my favourite King book. I don't remember his name but the pyro guy is awesome
Not really reading right now but Galapagos by Vonnegut and How Music Works by David Byrne are up next
I only started it yesterday, I'm only about 140 pages in.
Not sure I know which fellow you're talking about just yet, but I'm sure I'll find out soon enough.
I'm glad to hear that you like it, makes it feel like it should be worth it to read.
Also, Galapagos is a great one.
Vonnegut is one of my favorite authors.
The short story anthology Bagombo Snuff Box is one of my favorite books of all time.
Yeah I don't think he comes into the story for awhile. I need to revisit the Stand; I read it in high school like 5 or 6 years ago. Hope it still holds up for you, not sure high school me was the most reliable critic...
Vonnegut is also one of my favourite authors. I'm slowly collecting and reading all of his works. I just finished the Sirens of Titan which I really enjoyed. I'll have to look into Bagombo Snuff Box

Story of the dying Sicilian aristocracy around the time of Italian unification. I've seen the movie (which is awesome) a couple of times but hadn't read the book before. It is rad.

I fuckin' love that book, Horsey.
Never seen that cover before though.
It's crazy that was his only published novel.

That's the original UK edition. Mine doesn't look like that. Looks like this:
I'd put off reading it for some time but with my impending trip to Italy I'm trying to read Italian books and watch Italian movies to get me in the mood. Listening to a lot of Italian prog rock, too.

I like that Italian neorealism cinema.
Bicycle Thieves, FTW.
You should read The Tartar Steppe by Dino Buzzati.

It's not set in Italy, but the characters are Italian.
The film adaptation is great too.

To my fellow scientists, this will make you cringe and rage and hate this country (assuming you're American).
