Thurston Moore's new record sounds like a thurston record. it starts off all too familar, becomes a tour of the less noisy/free sides of his post-psychichearts solo work, and builds into something pretty damn compelling. maybe even beautiful. Kim still wins the award for best post-SY work - but i'm biased, who didn't want to be KG growing up?

Also, Autechre have a new album out today, in a much more conventional format than their 8 hour long 12xLP from 2018, which is nice.

Out of nowhere they dropped this album. Sounds like vintage Hum, like they never quit, with a healthy dose of shoegazey sounds that they were leaning towards on their last record in 1998.
