ever tried to read that? what a vague, incomprehensible thing it is. perhaps it's better in the original German, as folks like to say about GOP spiels.

Whoa. This is such a dumbass realization, but whenever I've seen someone doing that, I thought they were just tapping the harmonic with their index finger—I couldn't ever see the thumb plucking the note behind the index. Maybe some people are just flicking it?

Anyway, that's nuts. And extremely useful. Feelin a bit Keanu rn.

i could never get that technique. when i try to do that sort of thing i just ping off my ring finger with the pick like a totally crap Roy Buchanan.

Yeah, you can also tap the note at the harmonic, but the Jody Fisher thing feels a lot more articulate, to me at least.

I can't get this anywhere near as clean as he does, even with piles of distortion.

Two great videos! I've been doing the first one for a while playing artificial harmonics but nowhere near that cleanly.

The Mattias Ekhlund technique had just never occurred to me, and he's incredibly good at hitting the in-between fret harmonics. :eek:
