Is this really a thread about aluminium sanctions upping the price for a shimmer pedal?

Given the previous 7 pages, I would say no.

Given that most suppliers have tons of stock on hand if they raise prices now, they are dicks.

Dudes like Steve from Small Bear, and Lawrence at LMS will feel the effects of this immediately. It's kind of sad.
Our shimmer pedal run that is becoming a reality will feel this as well for those of us in the US who want to get down.
It's only 10% on aluminum, but still.
And now this page is about aluminum tariffs making our shimmer pedal more expensive

It all depends on the supply chain.
If the enclosures come from the US into the EU they will undergo a retaliatory tariff.
Then entering the US they will be hit with Trump's tariff.
And if I purchase one that is sent to the US and then distributed to me in Canada, the pedal will subject to a retaliatory tariff.
Once you start enacting protectionism, "free trade" quickly becomes less "free" and therefore more expensive.

Plastic's bad for the environment. You should make 'em from Norwegian glaciers.
