If a broken clock strikes itself twice a day, does Jesus forgive it and let it get back to party time?Invisible Man wrote:Broken clocks

Are we referencing "Withnail and I" now, or are we referencing Ride referencing "Withnail and I" ?D.o.S. wrote:broken clocks twice a day, etc.Invisible Man wrote:Also it just struck me: did DoS say he wasnt gonna continue debating minutiae? Maybe it was just circumstances and not the 180 I imagine it to be.
I'm confused.

I much prefer the film to Ride.
Leave Them All Behind is a hell of an album opener though.
Oh god and I haven't watched it in forever. Time to fix that.

Um confession: I have no idea what praise and worship guitar sounds like. I googled it and just found old guys strumming acoustics. Where do the ambient swells come in? What do I need to emulate to take people's tithing? If they pay me is it tax exempt?

It is the most shattering experience of a young man's life when one morning he awakes and quite reasonably says to himself "I will never play the Dane."

I think "Going Blank Again" will always be one of my favourite albums ever, so even though I like the film I'll take Ride over it any time.
Still, it's much more enjoyable to have both
.
I also have no idea what shimmer-worship-people sound like and I don't really care anyway...

Also you might want to wipe off the grease paint and stub out that cigarette before you go in.
This is a very impressive collection of Roto Toms. That's 21 Roto Toms in all. That is only $33.00 a Roto Tom.

Yea man, you get a fully funded pedal board and a sweet ass guitar but you have to sound like The Edge. I couldn't do it, personally.gnomethrone wrote:Ew

Tried to find a good example; couldn't do it, got annoyed. Super homogeneous, soupy sounds, not a lot of percussion, major keys.
The guitar playing wouldn't all be bad if played by an ILFer through an ILF-y rig. But the rest would be a little rough.
