Worth a mention? Nothing in the description highlights any sort of loop modification or otherwise mangling. Not for me.
Edit: I see this was already mentioned.

1440 lookin' like it might be a good option for a relatively "normal" looper to contrast my 856, especially if it can get a little texture on its own (and double especially since I can get it for cost). Wanted an Infinity for a long time, but never found a decent deal and the interface when I finally got to try one was kinda clunky.

To keep this line of conversation going — Is there anything that is basically the looper capabilities of the DL4 in a smaller box, with more durable switches?

I have an incoming 1440! It shall be here in few days. I'll let you know my impression as soon as I can plug it in!

It would be great to hear/see clips illustrating non-verse/chorus/verse usages of the 1440.

The 1440 is here! I did a first try out: just what I was expecting!
Basics as the 720, with the additional stuff it's like having a one-loop Pigtronix Infinity!
I still have to try out the midi synch, but so far tempo/pitch artifacts, ovedub decay, etc... works as they should!

Actually I never use the loopers this ways, I can check after how fast it can go from one loop bank to the other if you want (but I suppose it wroks the same ways as the 720 or an RC3)

I've gotten good mileage out of my Ammoon Stereo Looper knock off of the 720; wonder if they'll redux the 1440 as well? Daddy needs some cheap loop decay.

yes, the Tempo knob is really smooth, and super clever to have the 2 settings, Fine (increase +/-1 BPM step, which as you heards is very smooth and linear) or Course (increase in half step note). By combining Tempo knob and Octave switch you can go up or down 2 octaves (note that going down 2 octave the sound gets a bit lofi)!

I haven’t seen any mention of the infinity 2...
It’s a pity there’s no reverse but with the small form factor, 2 loops, octave, decay knob and stereo, it still seems pretty sweet. Has anybody tried one?

WOA that's a big image!
I had one of those and I have the larger version.
Pros:
Great sound quality
relatively easy to use right out of the box
is small
can has 2ndary controller
Cons:
I don't like the way the 2 loops are situated signal chain wise [for my setup]
too much multi-function with the controls.
is small...
It's a cool little box, it just didn't work with my stereo setup the way I wanted... I gave it to my drummer to play with...

the Ditto 2 i thought i'd killed mysteriously came back to life. i found it useful enough that i got a second one. for my purposes--basically improvising structures live--i like to keep things simple enough that they're somewhat dummy-proof so i don't step on the wrong switch and wind up sitting there with my ass hanging out in front of everybody. i'm also thinking about a 1440 so i can do some Steve Reich shit where a single phrase is played back at two slightly different speeds so they go in and out of phase, but i don't want to be confused by all the bells and whistles for utilitarian use. i thought long and hard (that's what she said) about the Pigtronix (the first one), but i hear too many bad things about them wearing out and they're kind of pricey.
